libra hallows;
LIBRA SHIFTED her weight from one foot to the other, huffily shifting the envelope between her hands as it began to grow warmer. the howler was dropped in her lap five minutes ago, and she suspected it would soon explode if the girl kept putting off opening the letter. quickly growing impatient by the timid nature of the boy, she took one harsh step forwards and waved the object in her hands towards his face. ❛ no - no way! it’s from YOUR mum! you’re going to be the one opening this ruddy thing! ❜ she cried.
the slytherin gestured for peter to gather his stuff, making sure to give him her nastiest glare before turning sharply on her heel and flaring her nostrils towards the librarian scowling at the two. she stalked away from the boy, not once looking back to see if he was following her before she reached the doorway of the library.
❛ listen, lion, if you don’t start using your legs in the next ten seconds i’ll open this letter right here, right now. we’ll see how fast you’ll move then. ❜ she sneered, lifting a polished finger to the stamp attached to the back of the envelope, threatening to pry it off.
why did slytherins always have to be so bossy ? despite his annoyance, peter gathered his belongings and stuffed them in his leather mailman bag in a messy manner — some parchments threatened to fall off the sides. with a nudge, he got the strap on his shoulder and got up, making sure to not make any more fuss than already caused. ‘ let’s get this over with, then. ’ he told the girl when they were side by side in the door frame of the library.
he stepped out, on the stone corridor and as the chilly air hit him, he was made aware of the temperature difference. he crossed his arms on his chest, wrapping himself tighter in his aviator jacket. there was a classroom two doors down the hall that was not occupied after fourth period on thursdays. ( his excessive knowledge of the castle’s whereabouts still startled him sometimes )
‘ after you ! ’ peter gestured with a half joking smile as he opened the wooden door. the room was indeed empty and would keep what nightmare awaited contained. ‘ i bet you it’s a prank — wait, i really do bet you. ’ the blonde slytherin's eyes held a threatening glare from the moment she appeared in the library, yet since his study session had been disturbed, he didn’t mind making the most fun out of the situation. the howler looked as if it was about to explode or set itself on fire, peter didn’t know what would be worse. ‘ two butterbeers on the next trip to hogsmeade, that is. ’
