im thinking and i think its completely unrealistic for people to expect amélie lacroix to re emerge from widowmaker. like no. they broke amélie. talon took amélie and ground her under their heel and shoved her to the garbage pile in the back of their new assassin’s mind. pure amélie is gone. there is no way to reverse time and retrieve her, no tracer, not even you can do that.

but if you cracked open widowmaker, you would find some of what used to be amélie, and you would find some of what used to be widowmaker, and it would be like oil and water. and yet this woman would still have to force these two fragments, two people, neither of whom she can truly be anymore, to stitch themselves together and heal into one whole person.

widowmaker and amélie are not the same. in order for widowmaker to have her ‘redemption’, if she is to have one, widowmaker must also be broken, and she and amélie must both rise from their own ashes and form back into one newborn phoenix.
