āThe reason I feel like I act is because you get to live a million different lives in one. I donāt have to go about my life, just being easy-going New Zealander Rose. Sometimes I can inhabit a feisty, vicious character. Sometimes I can inhabit a painfully shy British girl, or whatever it might be.ā - Rose McIver
Ā āYeah, because thatās you. Peyton Nichols, huge ass imposition.ā His gentle tone had no chance at masking his natural sarcasm. Peyton never had been, nor did he think she could ever be, an imposition. He stepped forward then, hand moving to her back to guide her toward the bar, navigating them both through the little cliquish groups.Ā
Waving over a bartender as they arrived, he ordered a beer and let Peyton order for herself. Soon, beer in hand, Buzz leaned against the hard wood,Ā āSo what do you think of the new shows? Met anyone of the new casts?ā
Another smile his way, because there truly was no way to reply to him without coming off as someone playing off their modesty, and then there was the immediate comfort of his touch, the gentlest hint of guidance. She didnāt particularly know all of the people in the crowded room, but she wasnāt necessarily looking to make more connections for the rest of the evening. Spending time with Buzz would be more than valuable enough to her.
āA piƱa colada, please. Thank you,ā she spoke up, smiling at the bar tender before turning back towards her friend.Ā āThe newer casts? They all look so young, and full of energy. Fresh-faced. Itās a little bit intimidating to try and compare yourself to them.ā A small shrug, as though it wasnāt even in her mind to worry over it, and she took a small sip of her mixed drink while looking up at him.Ā āHow is everything going on your end? Are you planning for season 3?ā
Buzz listened as she spoke, looking over her head at the people gathered around them. It was a great turnout, he supposed, but there was a reason he was behind the camera rather than in front.Ā āYou want me to be honest with you?ā he asked, smiling softly as his eyes came back to hers.Ā āI am enjoying myself a lot more since you came around.ā Looking down, he didnāt know what else to say, instead opting to gesture toward the bar,Ā āYou need a drink?ā
It was impossible not feeling at ease around Buzz. However much he expressed his preferences for quietness, and staying out of the spotlight altogether, he was the sort of person others would flock to, undoubtedly drawn by his irradiated goodness.Ā āJust wait until someone else recognizes you for the spectacular person that you are,ā she commented, her eyes focused on his face.Ā āOh, sure? If youāre getting one, that is. I wouldnāt want to impose.ā
He hadnāt had anything better to do plus heād heard there was going to be a sāmores station at this event. Heād yet to see a sāmore but it wasnāt a half bad time. It was only made better by the sight of Peyton, her energy already elevating the party.Ā āYou know how it goes. The party donāt startĀ ātil I walk in.ā
He paused, briefly looking away to bro nod in acknowledgement of a fellow writer passing by.Ā āNo moreso than usual, maybe itās me who hasnāt seen you around?ā
āNo party is a real party unless weāve got Buzz Davidson on the scene.ā Peyton smiled again, her gaze warm as she focused on the writer, then nodded as if to concede his point.Ā āThat could be right. I havenāt been seeing much of anybody outside of my co-workers lately. Shooting schedules.ā She shrugged slightly, still in good humor, and tilted her head in the general direction of the rest of the party.Ā āAre you enjoying yourself now, though? Iāve recently realized thereās no use in staying somewhere youāre not comfortable. No matter the work perks.ā
āThere you are! You know, I thought you might just ditch for better plans of your own making.ā Peytonās smile was genuine as she reached towards @buzz-davidson, one hand touching his arm, lips grazing his cheek in greeting. Although it was hard to get out of a work-related event -- and most people would rather not -- she was well aware of someoneās personal preferences clashing with their wanting to make connections, or pleasing their superiors.Ā āI havenāt seen you around the studio so much lately. Is post-prod treating you too roughly?ā she inquired, eyebrows arching up slightly.
the paparazzi have spotted PEYTON NICHOLS, the TWENTY-FIVE year old ACTOR whoās currently working as KYLIE COHEN on THE BROKE PACK. the tabloids have called them EDUCATED and GLOWING, but also TIMID and INSECURE. during their time in the spotlight, theyāve been dubbed the SOCIAL CASUALTY.
before you can try and guess........... sheās @nichcls wc in the form of his sister
like literally including her my last four characters were wcs thatās how i roll
ok !! on to peyton !!
she was the first born of a rather well-established family, plenty of cash to show off and throw around in a display ofĀ āpowerā
the only one thing Peyton really wanted to do - and which she got a small chance to - was become a ballerina like the one she saw year after year on The Nutcracker bc goals !! so dainty and pretty and graceful !!
((her parents didnāt really mind enrolling her for some classes bc it would Look Good ⢠but then again she never managed to stand out too much or win any solos -- not due to a lack of talent but lack of faith in herself??))
and with Penn as her younger brother, the boy quickly scaling up the ranks through everybody elseās hearts and social ladders, well, her confidence wasnāt rly getting any better
she p much breezed through high school going by unnoticed, still kept at it on her dancing lessons and whatnot, v occasionally finding some enjoyment in the arts department (one her younger brother wouldnāt step a foot in)
graduated from high school at 16 !! thankfully !! that nightmare was over !!
was then spotted (?) while out having lunch by a scout who was putting together the cast for an action-themed tv show - she thought the guy seemed to be shady as heck but wound up googling the address and turning up for the casting call... thus securing her first serious tv role by the age of 17 !! #powerrangersrpm
her role was one the casting agents thought she certainly looked the part of - spoiled rich princess - but as it was the breakout she apparently (& desperately) needed personally
it wasnāt the magical cure to turn her life around BUt it was a small stepping stone on her own personal development
the tv show lasted only the one season, but her and other actorsā presences (wcs??) were duly noted and praised - and it was the starting point of a promising career
not every job she scored was as big a success (though among cult fanatics), but sheās never been afraid of a little bit of hard work to get herself places -- wherever those places might be !!
personality wise sheās as sweet and uncomplicated as can be - loves music, loves to dance, extremely thankful for the opportunities sheās been given in every single aspect, doesnāt really hold grudges for the most part. if they do exist, theyāre buried so deep down she canāt easily find them
wcs ?? ex partners ?? ex coworkers ?? ex classmates ?? sheās cute pls look at her?? thatās ... all i got k byE!
