i had this epiphany last night while watching old clips of dnp in people’s vlogs. idk if this is obvious to the rest of you but i always wondered about how they say they have no friends when… they do, right? like, we know they do. they’re just non-youtube people. but before coming out, it seemed like dnp lived in a bit of bubble, isolated from the whole british youtube gang or whatever.

other than maybe just not meshing well with those people, i realized that in that era of creators everyone was vlogging all the time. dan and phil having to hide their relationship was probably exhausting. not probably, definitely. and that exhaustion probably was a lot of the reason why they didn’t want to go out and be in those youtube-y environments. having to constantly wonder about cameras and being outed. even if those people knew, which we’ll never know if they did and it doesn’t matter. they had no control over it.

anyway, i’m so glad they don’t have to worry about that anymore.

Maybe the reason the phandom has somewhat dissolved is because at this point it’s come to a very neat natural endgame.. like... (yes the conspiracies etc were bad bla bla) but like they do be gay... and they do be in love... The whole narrative and allure of ‘Dan and Phil’ who are they? What are they to each other? What is their dynamic? We know all of that now... there’s not much more to say or wonder about

A lot of the fandoms that have persevered through content droughts are mostly upheld by the fandom being dissatisfied with the way things were left off or the way writers decided to pan things out or gaps in the story which leaves room for a lot of creative freedom to ‘fix it’ basically which i think is what unique about the phandom in that.. what’s left to fix? I get that this is their lives but in the narrative of it all.. we got the ending we wanted no?

just watched a new Hannah, Grace and Mamrie stream and feel like I’m living back in 2015..

the stream was great and really comforting, I’d definitely suggest watching even for all my fellow trinity fans who haven’t kept up with them much in the past few years, this felt like old times and I really appreciated it!
