Her daily duties having been completed earlier than usual, Forte had taken an early leave for the day. Normally she’d be opposed to leaving work early and fill the extra time doing extra patrolling, but today was a rare occasion. For once, she wanted to just… relax. Go home, read a magazine or two, sit down with Kiel and catch up on things with him, enjoy some sweets, then do some reps on her wooden dummy before taking an early rest.
As per usual, she went to the Bell Hotel after work to take a relaxing dip in the baths before heading home for the rest of the day. In her arms were her dirty clothes and armor from the day while she herself was fitted with cleaner, more casual looking clothes. -If she had the breath to hitch, it would have as the Dragon Knight approached the granulated pandemonium just underfoot. Perhaps the folly of “borrowing” from an official of law’s home seemed a bit tactless now that she was cornered. Not that it would take any effort to drift through the home undetected, but a sense of guilt was potent in spirits--it was the main reason for any phantom to drag their feet a little behind them from the sheer weight of their lives’ misdemeanors. And it tacked her to the spot, her ghostly fingers clamped over her mouth as if even she couldn’t trust the wild bouts of chattering that her lady often found so charming.
Sensing her chance when the blonde’s suspicion faded in favor of retrieving a broom from the far side of the kitchen, Pico wobbled to her feet and bolted across the sandy sugar, the weight of her deeds leaving fresh footprints out of the corner towards the knight herself who unknowingly blocked the phantom’s beeline as she turned quite suddenly with her weapons replaced with cleaning supplies.
Freezing mid-step, Pico squeezed her eyes shut, emitting a burst of energy towards the pots and pans lined along the wall. Nothing too unusual--a misplaced breeze that clacked them together with an eerie, at best, rattle.-
