"Alright... it looks like it's working, now I just have to wait and see who makes contact first..."

OOC: I have been rp-ing as my Among Us oc for a decent while now with a couple other blogs through asks. I now decided to make this blog just to take this step a bit further since atp, my hyperfixation towards Among Us is just on fire rn. (Main Account: @noxinct)

So welcome if you find this! I haven't made something like this before, but I am willing to try bc I am having a lot of fun rn rp-ing with some of the other blogs around here and decided to try it out for myself. So feel free to send asks and interact with my oc. I won't be answering them right away nor I think would be able to answer them everyday, but I will do what I can since this is a first for me :P.

My Among Us oc is Grape (A Purple Impostor), with their alias/nickname being Shaden. They are a crewmate-turned impostor, and is a Phantom who can vanish via controlling light around themselves to hide in plain sight. They reside currently in Polus at an abandoned building while going out every now and then in the hopes of hunting down potential food (from animals to crewmates). They are of course, set in the Among Us universe, but also not limited in existing in adjacent universes like the Official Show and Rodamrix.

There is also an AU where Grape was brainwashed and became an upstanding employee of MIRA, working as a security guard at MIRA HQ (MIRA! Grape). Please specify/make it clear when you intend on interacting with this variant, otherwise it will default to the regular counterpart.

Hate, Discrimination, Bigotry, and any sorts of toxicity will not be tolerated.

NSFW requests are not allowed, suggestive ones are tolerated as long as they are not too explicit. I may be over 18 but I am trying to be mindful for minors who might come across to this blog.

Personal Information (Age, Real Name, etc.) will not be answered.

Since this is Among Us, expect some Violence, Gore, and other potential TW in the future.

Somebody approaches...

"Excuse me, by any chance have you seen an olive crewmate nearby? They've been avoiding the authorities for a while now and at this point I may need to write them a notice..."

They asked, and judging from what they're wearing, they seem to be a security guard.

Orange turns to face them curiously. They're holding a clipboard, which they don't seem to be without these days, and a shiny new "Head of HR" pin sits on the lapel of their suitcoat. They tilt their head as they think.

Hm? An olive crewmate? Hm... no, I can't say I have. Aside from their color, what do they look like?

"Uhhhh... other than they're, well... olive-colored, they were one one of the baristas working at a coffee stand, just below the research floor. I remember them having some kind of piercing on their visor and an ice cream cone for a hat..."

They pondered, trying to remember what they can about the details of that olive crewmate before they now also start explaining more about the situation.

"They were reported to me for being suspected of sneaking around the researcher floor without authorized access. I talked to them about it before telling me that they'll talk later after their shift ended, saying I should come back after 17 hours."

The security guard paused for moment, before speaking up again, trying their best to hide their annoyance.

"They haven't spoken to me since. It has been 2 days and they aren't by the coffee stand."

Orange puts one hand to their chest.

That is certainly a reason to be detained. And to think someone like that works here at Headquarters! For shame.

They look around, almost as if they expect the aforementioned crewmate to just be standing around nearby.

Well, if I do end up seeing them, I will absolutely let you know. Can't have just anyone wandering around wherever they like, of course!

"Thank you, report to the nearby authorities immediately once you see them. All who violate even the basic rules and protocols of MIRA Corp, are those who violate the stability and order of the system regardless of reason. And therefore must be dealt with accordingly."

They stated, almost reciting those words like some kind of robot or machine, but they do seem to express them full of conviction and commitment, someone who may not be the best but is dedicated to their job like any aspiring employee should.

And it was only for a moment, in an instant, but if one's visor is sharp, one may be able to see the officer's visor shimmer in a red glint for just a split second.

Orange nods in total agreement, and they don't even seem to register the strange nature of the words.

Well put. I will do just that! Thank you for informing me!

And the look Orange gives them, for just the briefest moment, seems to acknowledge something deeper, something hidden, something only someone familiar with it would be able to give.

Officer Grape smiles, somewhat uncanny yet certainly satisfied from the response, as they walk ahead before looking back at the Head of HR again and tip their fedora.

"Anytime, see you around and uh... we'll always do our best to keep MIRA Corp running! What MIRA does, does best after all!"

They said before continuing on walking, moving on with their patrol until they are out of sight. But one may notice them just vanish without a trace as if light covers their presence once no one is looking...

Default! Shaden: "Never in my life I would ever fucking see myself as some corporate bootlicker..."

MIRA! Shaden: "At least I don't spend my life struggling for food anymore :) Still cooped up in that abandoned building when you could do more with your life?"

Default! Shaden: "Well at least I still get to have my fun. The thrill and satisfaction to just gut up any crewmate and make my own meal from my own efforts. Don't you miss just seeing them pleading for their lives before you draw their final breath...?"

MIRA! Shaden: "Not much really! I mean I can still do that every now and then when someone violates MIRA protocols, but other than that, I'm quite happy that my life now serves some meaning other than just fearing for my survival!"

Default! Shaden: "..."

Default! Shaden: "...I really changed a lot in your timeline huh...?"

MIRA! Shaden: "...I guess so."

It was only for a moment, a split second, but you could've sworn you saw a faint red glint sparkled in their visor.

"Uhhhhh.... I do kinda wonder a bit sometimes.... but honestly, I don't really dwell on it a lot especially since I have a job to do."

"It's kinda annoying really, but I say it's not that bad. No biggie really!"

The sky shines bright as its sunny rays peer through the glassy panes of MIRA HQ. Even with nothing much to do, the security guard rarely gets bored as they simply gaze through the window, watching the clear blue sky, they are high up on the building they cannot see the ground. They remain on their post, seemingly content, happy.

Why wouldn't they be? Their life has turned for the better ever since they've left Polus, their life of isolation and hunting will never ever compare with the life of civility and purpose, their current life where their actions finally mean something, not just for survival but for something bigger than themselves. They may just have a simple job, but it's a job nonetheless, honest work where they are a part of something great, even if it's just patrolling around and catching snitches on the way. They love MIRA, and a part of its family... and they are truly grateful for it.

It doesn't matter if their memories stay foggy, it doesn't matter if others call them blind, it doesn't matter if they are seen as a mere bootlicker, it doesn't matter if what MIRA does is seen as a problem. Officer Grape remains commited to their role, their purpose given that defines who they are... and that is to simply obey, to serve, to kill anyone who dares to pray for MIRA's downfall... they are a mere guard, out of many other guards working under MIRA Corp, but just like those many others, they will do their part well.

*Maroon was the scientist of the ship they always helped in medbay caught in suspicious parts of the ship you know always kept to themselves never really talked just got the job done they finally got work done and was going to lay down then they heard a knock* (IF ANYTHING IS OFF JST TELL ME ALR🥹🥹🥹)

The door opened as a purple-colored crewmate stands by the entrance, they seem to be wearing a security guard uniform as they glance around to see if someone's inside...

"Excuse me...? Is someone here...?"

Maroon:”hi? It’s quite late…”

*they walk up to Shaden*

“Do you need something?”

"Oh! Uh... sorry for disturbing you... I was just wandering around, trying to get familiar with this place after boarding on..."

They scratch the back of their head sheepishly, not really intending on disturbing someone up while looking around.

"I'm uh... Officer Grape! I was one of the new security guards of MIRA HQ, I was tasked to board this ship for a few days so uh... I'll be around for a while..."

“Ah lovely to meet you, I’m scientist Maroon”

*they chuckle awkwardly*

“They never told me about a new hire”

"Heheh... I just got started a few days ago and it has been great so far. A whole lot better than I was back at Polus..."

"Is this your room by the way? I'm sorry again for disturbing your sleep..."

They said rather gently, almost warm in a way in how they speak.

“Nah, your alright it’s better than the others constantly waking me up,”

*she says softly*

“do you want something to drink or?”

"Oh, okay! A drink sounds nice yeah..."

They say while adjusting their hat, dusting it off as they wait for Maroon to lead the way.

Grape enters inside and sit on one of the cots while waiting for the scientist to make some tea. They glance around the room while humming a bit, it reminds them a bit of their time back at Polus while they were just in that lab. The scent of chemicals and alcohol, the sterilized atmosphere, the cool temperature... it oddly feels like home to them...

“Sorry it’s abit messy”

*she says loud enough for you to hear but not to wake anyone u*

“it’s been very hard to maintain a healthy room”

*she mutters that part stirring the tea and sitting next to him giving him a cup gently*

"Eh, it's alright... at least it's cold and nice around here..."

They said, kicking their legs in the air while continuing to wait.

"Uh... you said you were a scientist right...? What do you usually study or research about...?"

They asked, feeling quite comfortable already with Maroon as they watch her make tea. They remind her of another doctor in the past who they also quite admire...

“well just like new types of liquids testing if their useable and medication”

*she crosses her legs*

They responded, smiling a bit after hearing a bit more about what Maroon does and such.

"That sounds nice... what do have you made so far...? Any breakthroughs or something like that?"

They asked a bit more, their tone sounding a lot more friendly and a lot more comfortable than before, as if their sense of guard is lowered down after answering the last question. The security guard just beaming at this point.

”I kinda test it too it’s alot because everyone is constantly taking the painkillers, so that takers more time to make than most medication”

*she thinks for a moment*

“where did you use to work at?”

They pondered, recalling back (or rather try to recall back) their life back at that snowy yet molten planet, their memories a bit fuzzy overall so it's hard to explain more of the details...

"To be honest... I don't really remember much about that life really... but I've been really happy working for MIRA ever since I moved."

“Do you have somewhere to rest?”

"Yep! The captain showed me around the ship and where the security room is. That's where I'll usually be staying until then."

"And besides, I stay up a lot at night anyways to patrol around the area. I do that too back at the HQ anyways."

It's like they are back in the lab again, just talking and mingling with the doctor while they just sit and watch them work...

"Hmm... I might need to head back out soon... I still need to finish my patrol for tonight..."

Grape stated, looking towards the doorway.

*she says softly*

“Goodnight”

They smile back before standing up and head back out of the hallways.

"Goodnight too and uh... sleep well later..."

Grape continues on with their patrol around the ship while the most of the crew remains asleep. That scientist was nice to talk too, they really reminded them of the doctor back at Polus and how nice it was to just talk with them... it's quite a shame though that their stay here is temporary, but maybe they can talk to Maroon in the future someday again? Maybe at the HQ while she and the crew are visiting?

Either way, Grape has a job to do as they patrol around these halls, concealing themselves in their vanished state to remain invisible around these walls. It's quiet, but they are used to it.

They glance around the room while humming a bit, it reminds them a bit of their time back at Polus while they were just in that lab. The scent of chemicals and alcohol, the sterilized atmosphere, the cool temperature... it oddly feels like home to them...

The door opened as a purple-colored crewmate stands by the entrance, they seem to be wearing a security guard uniform as they glance around to see if someone's inside...
