"Yes, ma'am. Not gonna leave you out anymore Little Star. Wasn't my idea if it makes you feel any better. It was Bucky's idea." Was he throwing Barnes under the bus yes, but he didn't want her to be mad at him for leaving her out of something when it really hadn't been his idea.

John shook his head. "Shit, I can hardly keep my temper now when someone tries to hurt me or those I care about. I don't think I'd been sassy at all. I think I would have ended up being a rage monster." He scoffed, "half the world thinks that anyway. I'm sorry though. It doesn't do any good and I'm not even sure what to say about it except hopefully Kara can fix it and I know she's tryin'."

"Does sexy clothing count as normal clothing? Or are we talking like sweats and a t-shirt. This is really important information Ava. Don't hold out on me." He teased her a bit but hoped to hell Kara could do it because if she couldn't, he wasn't sure who else they could turn to. Whoever he needed to though, he would sell his soul to give her the only thing she really wanted in the world.

He couldn't help the smile on his face. "Yeah, I can dance well depends anyone can dance in a dance club that's not hard. But if you're talkin' about a salsa, No. I learned how to do the box step for my wedding then used it all the time at military balls. So yeah I think I can get around and you're light enough, if you feel like you can't do it, all you've got to do is hold on and step on my feet. I can guide us around." He pushed a piece of hair from her face, "I'll take you dancing if it has to be in this suit she made or if she can fix it.... One way or the other. Okay what are other things you'd like to do or try."

Ava chuckled softly when he mentioned being a rage monster. "They're not wrong, luv. I've seen you rage out. You get all grunty and your body tenses up. I feel like it's kinda hard to get you out of that headspace until you complete your mission." She wrapped her hand around his arm that was over her waist. "I'm glad I get to see this softer side of you, too."

"Kara will fix it. She's been working around the clock on the bracelet. I told her she shouldn't but she's determined to get it done." She said softly, keeping her gaze to the other building across the street.

She laughed when he wondered if sexy clothing counted as normal clothing. "I don't know, Walker. Wot do you find sexy on a woman? I'd try to guess but I really don't know. Are you a short skirt and low cut top kinda guy or do you like more coverage on your girl so you can fantasize wot's underneath? I feel like you can go either way."

When they got on the subject of dancing, she smiled. "You'd really let me step on your feet? That's sweet. You should definitely teach me sometime at the tower. We can have a midnight dance when everyone has gone to sleep so they don't make fun of us. When I get better, we'll go out in public, yeah?" She thought about other things she wanted to do. "Wot about going to a festival? I think I'd like getting a bunch of fried American food, going on a ferris wheel, and maybe I'd win you a stuffed bear and you could name it Ava and put it on your bed." She teased him as he played with a strand of her hair that had come loose from her ponytail.

"Oh I have a better idea! Wot about a medieval faire? I think I'd quite like to wear one of those poofy dresses and walk around with a tankard of ale and a turkey leg." She turned to look back at him. "I think you'd look quite sexy dressed like a knight or maybe a dashing bandit come to sweep me off my feet. Bet we'd both do pretty well at the axe throwing competition."

everyone expecting ava to be all in black when she wears regualr clothes except she surprises everyone because she's a soft girlie at heart.
