Mir beamed in delight, gently nudging his head in response to Aria’s petting. “You should’ve seen Afrien,” he excitedly began, only to deflate. “Er, well, you can’t anymore…but he was so big! He was at least twenty times larger than myself! Luminous said that an onyx dragon’s size reflects the power of the master–”

“Don’t remind me,” Evan exasperatedly cut in with a grin, the smile somewhat lopsided.

“–so I think I’ll grow to be that huge, too! Master’s still growing, so his power will be even better than it is right now!” Mir seemed to be rather sure of himself. Evan nervously laughed in response, though he was inwardly touched by his partner’s display of faith. It was rather warming.

“Are you sure it’s alright?” the strawberry blonde then frowned, looking back towards Aria. “It doesn’t feel right; you two have the right to speak to each other again.” Frowning slightly, Evan furrowed his eyebrows together in an attempt to think back to his readings. Maybe there was a chance that he could help the former Empress out?

    She petted the dragon and smiled at them.As she continued petting Mir her focus was to the dragon’s scales. She watched her hand run down the scales.She continued smiling softly gazing .

«Evan.I have deceased. There is nothing for me to say to him,Even If he can hear me he will only be pained. I want him to look forward not back. Understand?..»

『  ⚚  』 “…if I knew you would react like this, maybe I would’ve held myself back. But…” He directed a reserved gaze towards the thief before Evan turned away. “It’s a little too late to regret what I’ve done.

       “I know very well what the potential consequences are; I know what may happen to me as a result of doing this. But I can’t undo it, even if I begin to regret it; all I can do now is move on. Mir’s still here, so things should be fine as long as our soul pact remains intact. You just have to believe in us–in me.” Perhaps it’s not wise to rely so heavily on the onyx dragon, but Evan knew very well that Mir would be more than happy to help out. After all, the dragon had agreed to help the young hero; it would have impossible without Mir’s presence.

       “Yes, you’re a thief, but you’re also more than just that. I see you like a brotherly figure; I look up to you, and I care for you. You’ve given me no reason to mistrust you, and that sentiment will not be changing any time soon.” He paused to purse his lips, before continuing once more.  “You have little reason to believe me right now, but please have faith. There is nothing stupid in trusting others if they came to believe in you. The others trust you too, don’t they? Even if they know you’re a thief. You’ve given them a reason for them to trust you enough to be allies. You’ve given me many reasons as well, even if my misspeak seems to indicate otherwise.”

        Idiot.             He was furious of the other’s decision. He was furious over himself.He was suppose to smile and laugh this all off.Just like he has always done.A mask he dons on his face to hide emotions. He forgot this simple rule and let the other glimpse what’s underneath.         He sighed.Lifting a hand and giving a small chuckle to the Dragon Master.Ruffling the young hero’s hair.Their words stung his heart.It was hard to say if the other heroes really trusted him.His motives for joining was for all the wrong reasons.He wasn’t one for justice.He wanted revenge.He didn’t care about the Black Mage.He only cared for himself.He only looked after himself.That is till the Aria came along.

    But she is dead now isn’t she?

“I know,I know it’s too late. Don’t worry about what I said.I know you trust me. And I trust you,you are the rising hero.You and Mir both. So come on and chin up.”

      A wound that is still fresh upon his heart...Lotus was dead finally.Yet it did not mend him at all.Was it because he never got personally pay the commander back the pain he must of caused the other?That is unclear...With them finally gone then what on earth is he still doing?..He joined to get closer to enact revenge on lotus.There is no reason for him to stay.       He dropped his hand and grabbed his cane.That was right...He can drop the Hero act entirely...There’s no reason why he should still play hero.Not when he was everything but one.All this time he spent searching for revenge,he never once paid mind to the rising problems to the Black Mage’s release.       Phantom took some steps back from Evan.He tipped his Raven Persona to them.

      Once a thief....

“..Don’t be quick to place your trust.”

            As one hand gripped the cane.He lifted his other hand to reveal what he had stolen from the Hero.Before vanishing in a flurry of cards.

     Always a thief.
