After all the unpicking and taking in, I came up with a solution for my strap problem: Instead of having one strip of fabric going all around I divided it into three strips (one front, two sides, all cut on the bias) and added the shoulder straps seperately with the bust inset. It helped but the straps still didn’t fit the way I wanted to so I pinned darts into them right above the bust inset (shown here only on the left hand side) And after almost 7 hours of work I now have a fitting bodice.
