Watching him closely as he walked, eyeing him up for any obvious injuries, Tam closed the front door to allow them some privacy. "Can't say I've ever thought about it." she commented, recalling finding the sofa at some thrift store, before her eyes widened at the sight of him revealing the prosthetic leg.

"Vincent, what the hell?" Her shock was more than evident thanks to her tone and she took a cautious step towards him, examining the leg. "You know this isn't exactly my field of expertise... Why don't you want to go to the hospital?"

He shifted a bit in discomfort, waiting for Tamara's initial shock to pass. He let out an ironic laugh when she asked why he didn’t go to the hospital. ❝I’d walk out of there in handcuffs. I'm sure a good percentage of the prosthetic is either illegal or not approved in some states. Besides… they wouldn’t understand my technology, and they'd probably take what’s left of my leg❞ he said, grumbling, his mood even worse than usual. ❝You're the only option I've got left❞

Chase stopped when they reached Toby's room, which was right next to Chase's. They had just finished breakfast at the hotel. When Toby said that, Chase nodded, grabbed his wrist, and pulled him into his room, unlocking it with the card and opening the door. Chase immediately went to his nightstand beside the bed, opening the drawer and taking out some papers. ❝I think our intuitions are working together❞ he said, handing a paper to Toby. ❝Hotch said this mission was organized by Shepherd. Do you recognize the name of the person who made the reservations? Neither do I. It wasn't Shepherd or anyone from his team. Someone wants us here, and Hotch fell right into it by accepting the mission❞

"I'll take what I can get." Maria replied, resting her head atop Chase's chest, closing her eyes for a moment as she just enjoyed him being there. "How long do you think you'll be gone this time?"

He sighed. Chase had dealt with complications in some cases before, and he’d always managed to get through them without worrying Maria, and that was his plan again. ❝I don’t know, love. Maybe a week. I don’t think we’ll be there longer than that❞ he answered honestly. ❝When we close this case, I’ll take a couple of days off. We can spend the whole day like this if you want. Just you and me. I promise❞

kylie simply shakes her head as lip suggests they still can go to the party as it was the furthest thing from her mind at this point. "i don't even care about going anymore. it was never really about the party. it was about the fact you made me feel like you don't trust me and that made me feel really shitty, obviously." she brought her own arms up to rest comfortably around lip's broad shoulders as she let out a relieved sigh before continuing to speak. "now, can we try and turn this evening around? we could order take out, my choice for obvious reason. maybe we could watch something, just spend time together like you wanted?" there's a mix between a soft smile and a bit of a smirk on her face. honestly she was relieved they'd somehow gotten through this argument without it spiraling too out of control; no one had stormed out and left with words unsaid so it wasn't too bad on the scale of their arguments in her opinion.

He sighed. He wanted to say he trusted her, but he didn’t want to drag the conversation out, so he quickly nodded when she suggested they try to make the night better. He chuckled softly when she mentioned the take out choice, then brought one of his hands to her face, pulling her close by her face and hip to sit her on his lap. ❝That’s a great idea. I don’t want you to leave❞

Kate had been telling herself not to stare, to keep her gaze anywhere but on the kick ass arm Bucky had in placement of his lost one. “Is it heavy?” She asked, the words falling from her lips before she could stop them. Goddamnit Kate. She could have kicked herself, literally. “Sorry, that’s probably a weird thing to ask. Ignore me.”

Bucky frowned and took a moment to realize she was talking about his arm. ❝No❞ he replied, trying to be polite. James didn’t really know how this whole dealing with people thing worked; he was terrible at it. Especially with younger ones. ❝It’s okay. I get that one a lot❞

"And you didn't say anything?" She asked in disbelief. "You were waiting for what?" Did he even want to fix this? Asteria didn't know if this answer made her even more upset and frustrated. "I don't love him, he's no one" she said dismissively, because that's how she genuinely thought. It was a nobody who said the right thing at the right time (a moment of extreme vulnerability). The redhead rubbed her face with both hands, a visible sign of her frustration.

Him calling her 'Astie' was an emotional blow she had not expected. "I don't know" she shrugged her shoulders and let them fall heavily on her sides. "All I know is that we can't keep on living like this... pretending there isn't an issue here. I'll understand if you want a divorce after what I've just told you" she said sincerely. But she wasn't sure if that's what she wanted.

He stayed silent when questioned. She had a point, but after so many months, maybe Dash had just accepted that things would never be the same as before.

The revelation that the man she had slept with wasn’t someone she was in love with, but just a random guy, brought him some relief. With that, things had become a bit less complicated. Dashiell shifted his shoulders, uncomfortable with the situation they were in. He hated conflicts and usually tried to end them as quickly as possible. But to do that, he knew he needed to be honest with her. ❝I don’t want a divorce❞ he made clear.

And then he got up from the chair he was sitting in, walked over to her, and sat in the chair closest to her, his eyes on Asteria's. ❝Is this my fault?❞ it was a genuine question. ❝Did you do this because you didn’t feel loved anymore or because you thought I didn’t care about you?❞

Rain was right, this wasn't fair and he knew that but he selfishly couldn't let her go through with this either without at least trying to let her know how he felt. What he expected was for her to shut the door in his face and call it a night so he was very much surprised when she offered to let him in. Without another word he stepped inside her place. "Sure.." He told her quietly, unsure if he could exactly clear his head any more than it already was. He followed her into the kitchen "I'm sorry Rain."

She forced herself to stay busy with the tea, her eyes fixed on the mugs, even though it was an easy task that didn’t really require much concentration. ❝There’s nothing to apologize for❞ she said softly, avoiding looking at him. Bad idea to invite him in. Rain picked up the mugs and placed them on the counter in front of him, pulling hers closer and taking a sip. ❝I don’t know why I let you in, I don’t have much to say to you❞ she was honest, but now that she was looking at him, her eyes couldn’t look away.

She didn't know what she wanted to hear either, all she knew was this was just unbearable. They didn't speak anymore, so why on earth did they stick together, pretending nothing happened or that they were just roomates. However, when he said that 'he didn't think it was that bad', her eyes widened with a mixture of surprise and disbeleif.

"You didn't think it was that bad?" She repeated the question, just because she needed to make sure she understood correctly. "We haven't had a proper conversation in what? A month? Two?" She asked, not really expecting an answer. "When was the last time we did something together? Or enjoyed each other's company?" Why were men so fucking stupid?

❝Yeah, but I thought it was "we need couples therapy" bad, not "I slept with another guy" bad❞ he said, his voice raising a bit more. He was hating this situation and getting increasingly frustrated with himself, realizing he could have done something to prevent it from blowing up like this.

❝So what, you... You want us to talk about divorce? Are you... Are you going to apologize, or tell me you're in love with him, or...❞ Dash's heart was pounding in his chest, and his tablet lay forgotten on the table next to their dinner. ❝What do you want, Astie? Because... I don't fucking know what to do right now❞

When Tamara opened the door to her apartment, she wasn't entirely sure who to expect, but seeing Vincent there certainly caught her off guard. "You're not my uber eats driver." she commented, looking him up and down for a moment before stepping side to let him in. His request was concerning, and it caused Tam to take on a more serious tone. "Ok, Vincent, what the hell is going on? Are you hurt?"

When she gave him space, Vincent entered, limping on his prosthetic leg and trying to mask the grimace of pain that bothered him. When he stopped, he sighed. ❝Pretty much. Are you attached to the couch? I hope not❞ he said, sitting down on the couch and placing his bad leg there, pulling up his pant leg to reveal where the prosthetic started, just above the knee. The flesh connecting to the prosthetic looked terrible, infected and he didn’t know with what. ❝I need your help to get this thing off me❞ Vince said, looking back at her.

Alison let out a breath, closing her eyes as he kissed her. She thought she would feel relieved when he agreed, though now she was just worried, worried he had caved to end the conversation.

"It's what I want." She confirmed, knowing no matter what happened, she'd be moving out of the town, she just would rather do it with Dash than on her own. "But you're sure, right? I'm not just being the needy girlfriend?"

❝No, of course not❞ he said, one hand still on her face, gently caressing it. ❝I love waking up next to you. There's just a lot on my mind right now, but I'll sort it out. And then we can move❞ he assured her. It was probably at that moment that he decided he would tell her the truth, but why not do it over dinner? He could buy flowers, prepare a fancy dinner, and apologize a lot. ❝I need to go. See you tonight?❞
