Finally he could see the figures before him. They numbered four and three suspended some five feet above what he assumed was the ground, though without definition of any actual floor who could really tell. Each was cloaked in white feathers that billowed like strips of silk even though no wind blew. Each seemed to have some sort of facial features however he found himself unable to focus on any of them, his gaze naturally averted from theirs allowing him to discern nothing more than they, whatever THEY were, were beautiful creatures hidden by so many wings each a slightly different shade of white than the last.

Um, no. This is not how this works. No matter where you fall on the privilege scale, you will always have more privilege than women as a male/male presenting person. That’s how our society works, and don’t fucking try and convince me otherwise.

… even though it’s more socially acceptable for men to gain weight than for women to do the same? Appearance and gender go hand-in-hand in this context—and societal context in general. This is one of the many privileges male-identified men have. Just look at the recent media obsession with men who fall outside of the idealized standard of attractiveness that date and hook up with “ideal” women—it’s okay that the men in these films and television shows are not within our societal “norm” of beauty, but the women must always be held to that standard.

No matter how careful you are, there's going to be the sense you missed something, the collapsed feeling under your skin that you didn't experience it all. There's that fallen heart feeling that you rushed right through the moments where you should've been paying attention.

Another thing is no matter how much you think you love somebody, you'll step back when the pool of their blood edges up too close.
