Amazing International Women's day last Tuesday as @philipstantonstudio had the pleasure to lead a group of his @einabcn students on a cultural tour of the Barcelona Gracia Neighborhood where our studio is located. With more than 30 years of experience in the field Gemma and her team create amazing frames for a wide variety of clients, including artists, interior decorators and commercial enterprises. Amazing International Women's day Tuesday as @philipstantonstudio had the enormous pleasure to lead a group of his @einabcn undergraduate students on a cultural tour of the Barcelona Gracia Neighborhood where our studio is located. Here's some images of one of the visits with the fantastic Patricia Cancelo - sculptor, painter and gallerist! @patriciacancelo_taller_galeria Patricia is a whirlwind of talent and energy who in only a few months has managed to open and promote 3 new cultural spaces in the Barcelona Gracia Neighborhood Galeria 106 (Torrent de l'Olla 106), Art Up (Bruniquer 32) and her own workshop and gallery (Travessera de Gràcia, 315) https://patriciacancelo.com/ Patricia gave the @einailustracion students a brief timeline of her personal creative development, including the difficulties of becoming a woman sculptor working wirh welded iron and steel in an area dominated by "not necessarily misogyny but certainly masculinity". Hoy nos hemos despertado a un mundo un poco más triste con la noticia del fallecimiento de nuestro compañero y amigo Miguel Gallardo. Gran creador y persona Miguel fue uno de las primeras personas que @philipstantonstudio  llamó para unirse al equipo de profesores de @einailustracion posgrado hace ya 23 años.Fue parte importante del equipo durante todos los primeros años del curso. Generoso, divertido, irónico pero sobre todo humano. Su mirada artística fue duro con la injusticia de la sociedad tierna con las personas. Nuestras mas sinceros pesames a su mujer Karin y su hija Maria, Buen viaje capitán @capitangallardo te echaremos de menos Today we woke up to a slightly sadder world with the news of the death of our collaborator and friend Miguel Gallardo.
