For years, Walt Disney dreamed of having a romantic dance number in the clouds. He tried to work the sequence into different films before settling on Cinderella. In fact, an demo song was recorded for Cinderella called “Dancing on a Cloud” and it was later replaced with “So This is Love”. Eventually, it was brought to life in Sleeping Beauty accompanied by a dreamy song and incredible animation. Although we know that Aurora and Philip will wed, I love that there’s still endless possibilities for the both of them as they drift away.
