Download: Sims 1 to Sims 2 neighborhood with all sub-neighborhoods.

Hello! This is a really quick, but pretty big update from me. I'm not really active in the Sims community as of late. But I have from time to time been working on this project, whenever I needed to sort of clear my head. And now was a moment I thought I should share it, because it would be kind of a waste if it just gathers dust on my laptop ;) I've made an Old Town neighborhood (Sims 1) for the Sims 2. I've done that before, but this time Downtown, Studio Town, Vacation Island and Magic Town are all sub-neighborhoods instead of being part of the main neighborhood. And, all lots are built and in place, for as far as it was possible to recreate certain Sims 1 lots in the Sims 2. I thought some people might enjoy it, so here is the download link You can just place this in your Sims 2 documents folder, inside the neighborhoods folder. This version has no sims in it. And I removed the characters folder, because it was massive, so it might literally not have any sims in it, not even townies. I've not had a chance to test it, so let's see how that works out... If anyone wants to complete the neighborhood with sims, or change it, go ahead, you can share your version, as long as you credit me. I'll try to check back in soon to see if there are any massive problems. But other than that, this is not a fancy CC release, just me sharing a project I've been working on as is, so that it might be of some use to someone 😅 I hope some people will enjoy it!

Old Town!

Good evening! tonight I bring to you my version Old Town in the Sims 2. The SC4 Terrain is @philosimy 's found here. There are a few properties I kept from New Pleasantview like some of the farmhouses because I just liked the way they turned out. There are 2 versions of course, One with families and one without. There is also a property listing for this one too. In the folder there is also a .reia file in there. I didn't like it because it's kind of weird that the preview moves but I can't get the actual map to do the flyover unless I rename it to Pleasantview. (If someone ever finds out where the link between the town name and the fly over is I would be sooo soo soo happy because that just kills me that I can't make it do that with the Old Town name.)

The families in the version with the families were made by @tvickiesims and can be found here. I truly hope you guys like this and it brings you back to the bygone days of the sims 1 when you visit the properties.

When @philosimy put this map together they thought about everything. The addresses from all the packs were included in the map on empty lots. I have re-created many of those properties along with remodeling or recreating some that I saw from other creators, and I have credited them in the MLS listing in addition to this post and this one. Currently the properties covered the Sim Circle properties, the Old Town properties, Downtown properties and the Vacation properties. I do plan to make the Magic Town properties and the Studio Town properties too, but as add-ons. I am now going to take a break from creating things this large for a little while I will be back with more in the future, but this is what I have the strength for, for now. I still have one more version of New Pleasantview where there is a change in the storyline, but I am going to table that for now. I hope you enjoy! Here are the family pictures. Note, they may look different in your game as I have default replacement skins by @microscotch & @kestrelteens and eyes from @episims .

What a wonderful job! I really like how @cora626 reimagined almost all Sims 1 lots, and updated them to what they would have looked like with the more extensive Sims 2 tools. I had a lot of fun exploring her builds this morning. And the character introductions are really exciting. It really made me want to play the Sims 2 again!

HI! I'm using your recreated sims from TS1 to TS3, but I need to know.... who are Quincy Strings and Cyndi Bluebell?? I can not find info on them anywhere!

Ahh haha, well there isn't. I based those sims on sims from TS1 box art (Quincy is from Livin' Large, and Cyndi is from Superstar). I included them because they are very iconic to me, and my world needed some celebrities. But I had to come up with their names etc myself, because I all I had to reference were those images :) I hope you like them!

It's time to get nostalgic.

With this update of my Sims (2000) world, you can revisit every lot and every household from the Sims 1 in an open world experience in the Sims 3! This addition adds the Magic Town and Vacation Island area's, making this a complete Sims 1 world, that includes every Sims 1 neighborhood.

I apologize for the long delay in releases this update for this Sims 3 world. My real life has gotten very hectic, so it's been hard to make time for this project. I hope it was worth the wait and that you'll enjoy reliving the Sims 1 in this Sims 3 world.

This world was made with every Sims 3 expansion pack (except for Into The Future), in addition the the High End Loft and Town Life stuff packs. You can install the world even if you do not own all of these packs. But the save file (which includes all of the premade sims, ghosts and some fixes) can only be played if you have all of these packs installed.

To everyone who has installed and played the previous version of my Sims (2000) world: to install this version, you'll need to uninstall the old one. If you have an active save file with the previous (1st) version of this world, please backup any households and builds you want to save to your library. Because that save file will probably become unplayable after installing the updated world file.

I have one little request… If you know any other long time simmers, please share this project with them. I would love it if as many people as possible get a chance to enjoy this nostalgic experience <3

Also, if you enjoy setting up high quality screenshots, I'd love to see them and use them to promote this world.

Sul Sul! I'm stoked about the TS1 world! Been playing TS1 and TS2 since 2006, Magic Town would be so much fun to play in as a vamp, witch, or fairy. Not rushing you! Just wanted you to know there's fanfare!

Ah that's so sweet! The complete Sims 3 world is really close to release now actually :D

Spending TS2's birthday remaking TS1 houses in @philosimy's excellent Old Town neighbourhood! (Seriously, it's beautifully made.) Also still have no idea what I'm doing with Reshade, but tried making a sort of TS1-ish preset that relies a lot on posterize and temperature effects.

Sul sul! I'm looking for beta testers to hunt after (routing) issues and such in my complete Sims 1 to Sims 3 world. I have finished the Magic Town and Vacation Island parts of the world, and I want this release of it to be perfect! Hello :) I found your old town neighborhood remake and I was wondering what the neighborhood in the back was, and I absolutely shrieked when I realized it was magic town! Im deleting my shopping area and using this!

Ah that's great haha! Actually I have just now finished the rest of the lots (for Magic Town and Vacation Island too), and am planning on releasing the complete version of the world soon!

Hello! I downloaded your The Sims (2000) for my sims 3 game and really like the world but just realized that I don’t have any bridges to connect the neighborhoods :/ do you know why this is? And is there anything I can do to get the bridges so my sims can drive back and forth between the neighborhoods?

Hey! That would be because you're missing the required EP's. I know the bridges used around the Sim Lane area are from World Adventures, and if I remember correctly the other two are from Ambitions and Night Life. If you have those packs installed, the bridges should be showing up.

Hey everyone, I made a little addition for my Sims 1 world.

I noticed that tombstones had lost their ghosts when I placed them in CAW. So I uploaded a version of the Goth family home that does have ghosts, for the whole Sims 1 Goth family experience!

Just place this file (SFS) in your library folder, move out the Goth family from their home, demolish it, place this house there instead, and move the Goths back in.

I'll probably be using this post to list all small updates I add in the future.

Hello Simmers, the moment is finally here. This is the first official release of my The Sims (2000) to Sims 3 world.

Revisit all lots and neighborhoods from The Sims base game, Hot Date, Unleashed and Superstar in an open-world experience in the Sims 3!

If you enjoy my creations, please consider helping me save for a new laptop on Ko-fi ❤️

Let’s get to the good part. You can download this Sims 3 world here. Just double-click the file and the Sims 3 launcher will open that will allow you to install it.

To build this world I used all Expansion packs except for Into The Future. Stuff pack wise I only used High End Loft Stuff and Town Life Stuff.

You’ll find that by default this world is not populated, that is because the Sims 3 Create A World tool (CAW) does not support adding households. So to get a fully populated Sims 1 world, we need to do a little workaround. There are 2 options:

You can download all of the households here and place them into their houses in Edit World mode in the Sims 3. Just place these .package files in your Sims 3/library folder.

Install the populated save file. Just unzip and place these in your sims 3/saves folder.

I would really like to hear it if you run into an issues with the world file, so that I can fix them! Let's be in touch 😉

I have one last note for people have downloaded an early progress version of this world. If you did and are using it for a save file you want to continue playing in, please beware that by installing this world it will overwrite older versions of it and so your save file could be lost.

How do you like all of these Sims 1 households?

I think I like the roomies the most, because I could remake their outfits quite well. And Mama Hick turned in her curlers for a pair of glitzy glasses, which seems quite fitting haha. All in all I find choosing the right hair the biggest challenge. Basically for all of them except Bob XD.

Enjoying some slow-paced TS1 gameplay… well, it was slow-paced until the kitchen caught on fire. But this is TS1, you would be disappointed if the kitchen wasn’t on fire.

I redid my Bella recreation. She is hard as hell to recreate but I think that I succeded with her recreation.

Just a little update that things are going well with my Sims 1 to Sims 3 world project! :)

I just reached a new milestone as the world is fully populated.

All that’s left for me to do before a first official release is find & fix routing issues and build some Sims 3 specific community buildings, like a fire station.
