Someone tell me I’m not the only one cursed with the urge to laugh whenever a person falls or entirely wipes out. I should feel more bad about it, but I’m just here looking for validation over it. I’ll be the first to tell you that you’re not alone, but I’m also just kind of an a-hole, so take that with a grain of salt. I would’ve had one of those obnoxious, boisterous laughs before checking to make sure the dude was okay. I don’t mean to be a jerk, it’s just instinctive, I guess. Oops.

Writing lyrics when you’re manic depressive is weird. Like, sometimes, I’ll write something on a low and then when I go back to it and read it on a high, I can’t remember or relate to what I felt like when I was writing it. Sometimes I don’t even remember writing it at all. Is that a weird thing? Is that a normal thing? Is that a “hey, Chrissy, little too deep– it’s 3:30AM where you are, please go to bed” thing? … Anyway. Madrid’s pretty awesome, but I can’t wait to get to Milan and absolutely destroy everything at Luini’s.
Hi, I feel this deep to my core. When you get that itch, it pretty much consumes your livelihood and well-being. It’s a cathartic but also wildly stressful part of what we do? I’ve got full songs written that I can’t put any instrumentals to unless I’m in that particular mood again. And then there are instances where I’m in a certain mood for months at a time and the songs I write are way too on-the-nose to release, so ya can’t win for losing. Madrid is where it’s at, for real. Pick me up something nice, okay? Give me snugs when you get back.
I’m hitting the road mid-July so I’ve got tons of time to practice, but I’m still putting some finishing touches on my album that’ll be out before the end of the summer. I’m hitting pretty much everywhere! East Coast, down South, West Coast, the works. Aw, aren’t you sweet? I’d love to collab! I need to stay creative or I’ll go nuts and I love writing. I think we’d make a pretty kickin’ duet happen.

So in the bit of free time I have I’ve started re-watching How I Met Your Mother and I just…wish I hadn’t? It sucks you in, makes you think it’s fine to only watch one more episode and next thing you know it’s been 5 hours and all you have to show for it is an empty bag of Cheetos. Anyways, hi, I’m Tessa and I’n horrible with introductions so take this ‘relatable content’ instead. That’s what the kids call it, right?
I’m highly skilled at trying to come up with relatable content so I feel that on a deep level! How I Met Your Mother is incredibly attention-grabbing, though. It just makes you feel like you’re grabbing drinks and swapping stories with five of your best pals, you know? Hi Tessa! You’re a badass at everything you do and I’m greatly appreciative of that. It’s super encouraging, to be honest! I’ve always looked up to Carly because her career took off at 27, which was way older than most women that labels would commercially invest in at that point, even though it sure as hell isn’t “old” at all. I’m 28 and have been teetering the same line she was for a few years now so I’m eager to pick her brain.
God, I admire the work ethic of being a VS Angel so much. Conditioning and maintenance are such huge parts of your job and I honestly don’t think I have that kind of dedication in me so hats off to you, girlfriend.
So for the past week, I’ve been traveling around Europe doing one of our annual tours over here, and usually I’m pretty set on this going to sleep and then waking up at normal time. But this tour, it’s been like three or four AM going to sleep times and turning around and waking up at eight am for media. So, if anyone has any Netflix suggestions for me, I’d love to hear them. I’ve been stuck in Sweden the past couple of weeks for album work so, I know, rough life getting to see pretty stuff all the time. I can finally yell from the rooftops that I’m going on tour with Carly Rae Jepsen, baby! I’ve got a new jam coming out next Friday and an album FINALLY dropping in the next couple of months. Summer ‘19′s about to be lit.
Now that my summer plans are sorted, what’ll you fancy folks be up to, besides seeing your girl in a city near you? Summer’ll be here before ya know it, gotta get those calendars in check.
