More and more lately I wonder if I'm only people's friend because I'm the one putting in the effort to be apart of their lives, make sure that I'm there when they need it, make events etc but if I stop they're not reaching out to me. Occasionally I'll get a you okay or is everything alright but even then it's only after I've reached out.

Maybe I'm just feeling this way because I'm so disconnected from all the people i call my friends.

It maybe I never had any to begin with just a group of people who were happy to have me round long as I was the one putting in all the effort

What do you do in those moments when you know your surrounded by good friends celebrating your birthday but all it does is remind you of all the things you’ve lost over the years

Do you fake it till you make it and put on that smile till you see that what’s in front of you.

Or do you leave to let your friends enjoy themselves until you pull yourself out of whatever rutt you’ve gotten yourself into so they can enjoy themselves

I guess I’ll fake till either I make it or can’t take anymore and leave because I’d rather see my friends happy without me then have me round to bring them all down whilst I’ll deal with whatever is going through my head.

Always remember your friends are the family you choose and family come first always and forever.
