Our Breezo had her last day today. A true Wilson! Sweetest gal with the softest ears on planet earth. Basically human in dog form. Or some sort of beautiful, shiny dog/seal/bear hybrid. Barked four times her whole life. I’m gonna miss you very much, you’ve helped make all my houses homes since I was eleven years old. I’m so glad I got to swim with you a final time in Skye last summer, and will think of you anytime I dip into freezing Scottish water. Or anytime I hear the word “breeze”, same as I always have.
