“Maybe we can even get some food on the way over. My treat!”

“If you say so...” Rose drawls, observing Neff with shimmering eyes. She

somehow doesn’t believe her, but she doesn’t want to push it either. If Neff

doesn’t want to talk about it, then Rose won’t press her. Giving a small smile,

Rose shakes her head as if to tell her it’s no problem at all. If she did

something to make her friends happy, then Rose is happy too. “Really? You

don’t have to pay for us both, Neff.”

“You have a fair point there. Well…..then I guess I’ll accept! Let’s go say hi to your kitties~” Neff giggles and smiles. “I think…it’ll be good for me to have some company like this for a bit. I’ve been beating myself up over nothing these pass few days, you know?” Sheepishly does she rub the back of her head, feeling a bit silly now that she’s said it out loud.

“Anyway, you lead!”

“That sounds fun!” Rose perks up, that tiny smile making her mouth look like

it’ll burst from sheer happiness. It’s just a simple visit with Neff and her cats,

but sharing her happiness with friends brings her a lot of joy. When Neff

reveals she’s been feeling down though, the smile drops and Rose’s eyes

bulge. Had she been feeling that way? Rose knew she could be oblivious

sometimes... but had she missed this?

“Are you okay?” Rose questions, tipping her head inquisitively. Clearly not if

she’d been beating herself up, but Rose still had to ask.

It was rather funny, really, how much the two had in common both in this word and their respective ones on ‘the other side’. Neff would never mention her own pet dragon to Rose, but it would be quite a bonding moment had they knew.

“Ah! I’d feel so bad doing something so spontaneous. I know you’re asking me because you’re free and all, but….” Truth be told, Neff couldn’t finish her thought…because she had nothing to finish. How do you explain to someone that you still feel like a burden in moments like this? She really did feel silly considering how kind Rose was being. “Ah…well……..if you really don’t mind then I suppose it wouldn’t be an issue…right?”
