Expats in Malta - #11 Beth
Beth is half English, half Scottish. She has been visiting Malta since she was 5, and finally decided that exchanging the rain for Maltese sunshine would be a good deal, allowing her to take up her passion for sailing. Currently involved with a house re-furbishment and working in design, she's happy to call the medieval Mdina city her home.

Today something a bit different. Great piece of text by friend of mine Sofia Ferreira. About being an expat in Malta (or any other country) and life in general. Sort of related with my Expats in Malta project too. Worth reading so enjoy!
As any foreigner living in Malta I am prone, occasionally, to the expletive "I fucking hate this place". Or "This is a shit hole". Or any other variations. We've all been there. Sometimes the heat becomes all too unbearable, or the waiter at any given restaurant/bar just could not be bothered to show up to take your order leaving you to then complain about how Maltese are rude, or maybe you finally succumbed to the island claustrophobia or the summer tourist invasion (just writing this is giving me a slight panic attack).
Expats in Malta - #10 Jhoyce
Jhoyce comes from Philippines but she has been traveling back and forth to Japan. She met her partner in online chat room who happened to be Maltese. It was 9 years ago… they got married and have been living in Malta since then.

Expats in Malta - #9 Efdal
Efdal comes from Turkey and before coming to Malta she changed her job and city she lived in 3 times in the last 3 years. She was even making jokes about unluckiness and hopelessness in life and love. She was hoping to stay longer and settle down in one place and although Malta was a big surprise she's very happy here!
