Small Boats
Excited to complete my installation 'Small Boats' as part of my MA end of term Image Futures exhibition at the University of Westminster this week. And great to see people adding their own boats to the flotilla (made from pages of the official HO guidance on UK citizenship) and creating their own absurdist verse from the words of Theresa May's 2016 speech. Here are some installation shots including a GIF of me doing some folding / unfolding of my Windrush monument image.
My first semester MA project is completed - its about the knowledge we inherit in the hand tools, kitchen implements, recipe books… that are passed down generations. The finished piece is monumental - each tool printed at A0 scale, but here is a portable version. The QR codes should take you to the verse I've written to accompany the images on soundcloud.
