Hi Sony
So I have finally got my Sony A7III and I must say, I'm head over heels in love with it. Even though I'm using it with all adapted lenses, the AF performance has been amazing with no visible loss of quality for my wide angle shots.

Marina Bay Flowers
Right outside the Bayfront shopping mall there's this small pond. I remember when I took this photos I was in a rush to get back into the mall since I was melting from the heat.
Intersection
Despite owning the M5 for over a year, I realized I had never used it to do any long exposures. This intersection is only a 5 minute walk from my house so I decided to head here on evening.
Old Airport Road Food Court
While in Singapore, this is one of the many locations we visited. The Old Airport Road food court was recommend for a place to try when looking for local food. The prices were really cheap and food did taste good, although it wasn't my favorite meal of the trip.
Merlion City
Singapore is a location I've wanted to visit for many years now. Last week I was luckily enough to finally put that plan into fruition. I would say I really enjoyed my trip except for one aspect, the humidity. Although Sydney isn't the coldest place in Australia, I do prefer my cold winter days over sunny warm weather.
The rain also stopped me from being able to take as many photos as I would have liked. Despite all these setbacks, I had a lot of fun and FINALLY got to meet some long time friends. Those friends are Nik Voon / @nikvoon and Joey of Last Lights / @lastlightsnet. I've talked to both these guys for several years online and it was a pleasure to finally meet them in person!

Apple Watch Series 3 LTE
As someone who hasn't worn a watch in more than 15 years and doesn't particularly like watches, I'm pretty happy to say I got myself a series 3 Apple Watch.
So what made me get one of these when I previously had no interest in watches? I personally find the AW to be useful where as I find standard watches the opposite. I got the LTE version of the series 3 watch so I'm able to receive all my notifications, even when my phone isn't with me. The other upside is I get to take all these product shots. When it comes to these three images, I all tried to shoot them from a different perspective.
For the first image I took, I went for a casual approach. It was honestly quite hard to pose my wrist in a natural way while still trying to take the photo. I was outside a store window so the ambient light allowed me to keep the ISO down.
For the second image, I wanted to do a more professional shot of sorts but still have some bokeh. The watch was laying on my dining table and I was just relying on the ambient light from the kitchen. For the bokeh in the background, I was using some fairy lights that I held in place with my camera on self timer.
The third and final image I took is somewhat my favorite. I love low key product shots and the aluminium build of the watch makes for some great reflections. I shot this on the same table as above, although I had a speedlight held above the watch firing into a reflective umbrella. The band on my watch is actually black and depending on your display, you may be able to see a slight outline of the band which I intended.
Sydney
Since moving to Sydney, this is a spot I’ve wanted to shoot the sunset from but never got around to it. The weather appeared to be nice and cloudy on the weekend so I decided to head down here to try do some long exposures. Once we arrived all the clouds were gone but I made the most of it and I’m happy with my final result.

Apple iPhone 8 Plus Bokeh
After two years of using my Samsung Note 5, I finally have an iPhone again! I managed to get this Silver iPhone 8 Plus from Apple last Friday when it launched and it has made me so glad that I decided to switch back to iOS.
I had used a 4s and 5s then I decided to give Android a try and got myself a Note 5. Fast forward 2 years and I now have myself an 8 Plus and wow has iOS improved so much. I really like how you can now delete unwanted apps like stocks ( which I've been goodness they started allowing a year or so ago). The improvements to iOS have really made me love this phone so much more!
When it comes to the hardware of the phone, it feels like a big upgrade for me. I had a 32GB phone so to now have a 256Gb one it feels so unrestrictive and I find myself installing any app I like. Although the Note 5's Screen was higher resolution (1440p), the 8 Plus screen still looks great and I don't notice any difference. One major difference I do notice is battery life. The Note 5 would drop by 10-15% overnight even in power saving mode. The 8 Plus only dropped 5% overnight which I found to be really impressive. After a full day of use I'm finding I still have 60% left which is insane compared to what the Note 5 could do, even when it was brand new.
For some this may not be much of an upgrade but I personally have found this to be a significant upgrade for myself.
What I Miss
Since moving to Sydney if someone asks me if I miss Perth, I tell them there's only 3 things I really miss. Those are my favorite dessert drink from Dome, my favorite restaurant and most important of all, my cat.
I was really sad to leave him behind but being that he's now 12 years old and gets terrified even on a 2 minute ride to the vet, I know he wouldn't be able to deal with the stress of moving across country and being in a new environment. Because of all of this, I had to leave him with the person I was living with back in Perth.
The Dragon & The Monkey
When I travel, I like the get small statues like these as souvenirs. The statue on the left is the Monkey and the one on the right is the Dragon. I got them on my very first trip to Hong Kong in 2013. Before they were both kept separately at each others places, but now that we finally live together the two little statues have been reunited!
This weekend I went to Watson’s Bay by ferry which is the first time I’ve visited that location. Even though the breeeze was quite cool, it was very sunny which led to a long hot walk when we finally got there.
There was some bushfire burnings again this weekend so there was a smokey mist to the air. Being that I’m asthmatic, I was very glad there was no smoke smell in the air. I took this from a wharf over on the north shore which appears to be used for fishing only now. With my poor memory, I managed to forget the name but it wasn’t far from Jeffries Wharf.
The food above was from Celsius Coffee Co in Kirribilli. Mine was the bacon and egg roll and my girlfriend shared the waffles with her sister. The food was really good and we got there right in time as the line got quite long 5 minutes after we got there.
I didn’t feel like carrying around the 6DII since the weather was boring and sunny so I opted for the much lighter and easy to carry M5. I am tempted to sell the M5 just so I can afford more gear, but at the same time it’s such a great small body and it would be a shame to get rid of it.
733 Link Breath of the Wild by Daniel Lee Considering Breath of the Wild is one of my all time favorite games, I thought it was appropriate that my first Nendoroid would be Link.

I’m very lucky to have celebrated the past six years with this amazing person!!!
