I love the juxtaposition between Robert going "you know me better than anyone!" to Aaron and Aaron proving this right by doing things like going "yeah he hates farming" when everyone else was buying that, AND the fact that they've been apart for SIX YEARS! They know each other best but there is this gaping chasm between them of six years of trauma that they don't know anything about! They don't know how they've changed, what that's done to them! Aaron doesn't know anything about what Robert went through in prison! Robert doesn't know anything about Aaron's "everyone I love leaves me so I am never caring for anyone again, watch me violently burn all my bridges with everyone" phase! Aaron has been deliberately avoiding finding out how Robert is coping after prison! Robert has no idea Aaron was planning a one man prison break! Before they knew the worst things they'd done to other people and to each other and now they don't! There's six years of water under that bridge! They haven't even really talked about how they respectively feel about Robert initiating the six years of being apart! They need to yell at each other about that several times before they even get to the rest of it!
