How the fuck have I spent $500 in ten days???????
Write.
I just bought a blank book from Barnes and Noble in an attempt to start writing more because I’d like to improve my writing skills and as the saying goes, ‘Practice makes perfect’. I don’t want to fill it with my own venting like I did with my ‘diary’ on my old laptop which makes me cringe more than anything whenever I try to read it back. I’ve spent an amazing 9 months in New York so far and have had so many amazing adventures and met so many amazing people and characters I could have written about but didn’t and I regret it everyday. Yet everyday I don’t start. Every time I have an idea that sounds somewhat decent I don’t immediately write it down thinking I will remember and then I immediately regret it when I don’t. I’ve played around a few times with how I could start and what it could be but it wasn’t until now that I finally got off my lazy ass and picked up the book and started writing. It was only a few notes/a rough plan of my future travel adventures for this and next year. I was just invited to EDC Vegas, extremely last minute, literally the day before it starts, and looking at the flights and admission it made me realize I haven’t even thought about how much the year ahead is actually going to cost. NY has been easy, and I have been surprisingly lucky. And I’ve fallen into this naive state of mind that everything will just fall together at the time but I really need to start planning how much I should actually save for. So I’m going to document my planning, and write about my travels as it happens. I think it would be nice to have more than just pictures and videos to look back on and it gives me an opportunity to write more and improve hopefully. Even reading this back seems fairly dull and not engaging in any way :L I’m also going to post a ton more to this. I’m gonna go with the mindset that no one will ever see any of this ever because right now I don’t actually have a laptop of my own to just put this in a word doc to never see the light of day. And I probably will just end up venting a lot. And whatever else I feel like. So here goes finally doing what I intended to do like 5 years ago!
