Things that need to happen (to men) at the Pyeongchang 2018 Winter Olympics
The Winter Olympics 2018 are just around the corner⌠It is time to put a list together again of things we need to happen to our men of figure skating! To be honest, this will be my first time watching figure skating olympics live. Even more important then that you add your ideas! I will post a complete list, adding your wishes and at the end of the olympics I will draw a conclusion. SO, let the wishes begin!
1. No injuries for anyone!
2. Fair judging and no scandals (as far as that is possible)
3. Yuzuru Hanyu fulfilling his dream despite being injured and out of training for quite a long time
4. The wedding pose ritual on the podium
5. Yuzuru Hanyu having somewhere a tiny Pooh Bear with him because (stupid) rules do not allow his tissue box
obi-wan sneaking around the death star + the pink panther theme song

Always reblog.
environmental racism isn't a thing. God how can people be so stupid. Plants don't have fucking opinions.
Iâm ⌠legitimately blown away that you think environmental racism is about the marginalization of plants.
Top ten moments on this site
I've literally written essays on environmental racism? Want me to send them to you?
Stop With The âNotâ
Iâm not good enough.
Iâm not young enough.
Iâm not flexible enough.
Iâm not fit enough.
Iâm not graceful enough.
Iâm not fast enough.
Iâm not strong enough.
Iâm not pretty enough.
These thoughts plagued my mind when I started skating. I occasionally have these thoughts, but over the years Iâve learned that I AM enough. I might not be the best figure skater, but I am the best version of me and thatâs all I can ever ask of myself.
So if anyone out there believes they are ânot enoughâ to start figure skating, or to start anything in generalâŚstop with the ânotâ and start with the âamâ. I am enough and you are too.
The people who get offended by this are unreal to me. It has zero effect on you whether you lable the iPad âfrom Santaâ or the mittens âfrom Santa.â But it does affect your neighbor who barely afford mittens.
People almost foam at the mouth when this conversation comes up. âHow dare you tell me what to do. Iâll do Christmas how I want.â
As if Christmas isnât literally about giving and the less fortunate. Y'all get coal this year.
my little brother wrote about me for school and this was one of the sentences he wrote. im sobbing âmy sister is my role model because she can watch 12 years worth of law and order in 3 monthsâ
i know that the imperial march is iconic and all of that but oh boy the resistance march makes me want to take up arms and fight fascists

Do not visit Venice by cruise ship
Cruises may sink when they collide with something, but there is a place in the world where this works the other way around. Venice is sinking under the destructive effects of these giants.
Venetians have repeatedly thrown themselves into water to try and stop cruises like the one in the picture above from reaching their city. They have been fined for doing so. But they keep doing it. By the way, that picture is not photoshopped.
Every day, up to 60,000 tourists roam through the streets of this city, which only has 55,000 inhabitants. It is not surprising that UNESCO has expressed concern over the âexceptionally high tourism pressure on the city of Veniceâ.Â
About 30,000 of those tourists come from cruises.Â
When each of these cruises arrives to Venice, it looks like a remake of Godzilla, with a huge monster emerging from the sea to make its way through the city. If you have been there, you might have asked yourself âWhat if one of the maneuvers of that big ship went wrong?â.Â
But thatâs not the reason why Venetians are taking to water to stop these ships. You would assume they are fed up with tourists - which is true, they definitely are - but thereâs more than that.
As you might imagine, these cruises are a huge source of pollution. But pollution is not even the main problem here.Â
The problem is that Venice is sinking. With global warming and the rise in sea level, amidst ever more frequent and intensive flooding, it is clear that this city cannot look to the future optimistically.
Venice wonât be there forever. But it can be helped, we can protect it and if we canât save it, we can at least make this process slower.Â
Nature itself seems to try to protect it. This lagoon has always been filled by large watery mud-banks covered with vegetation which acted as a natural barrier from tides. Now this natural barrier is disappearing. A cruise can displace up to 90,000 tonnes of water, this stirs up the lagoonâs sediment, completely changing its seabed and making this city vulnerable to the sea.Â
As the environmental scientist Jane da Mosto has said, âCruise ships are literally killing Venice. They are destroying the lagoon, and are a major source of air pollution, as well as the tip of the iceberg of mass tourism that is drowning the Venetian civilisation.â
If you care about this unique city, if you want to preserve its beauty and let future generations enjoy it as well, please donât buy a ticket for one of those cruises.Â
Please. Donât let Venice die.Â
