Just an rp thought I had about Romana on my way to work. Not the safest spot to have an idea while driving but it would not go away.

So basically in Classic Who - the Doctor was ordered to take Romana with him. She didn’t want to go and he didn’t want her.

Many years pass…she’s the tortured, messed up version of herself…and Xi or Brendan gets their hands on the one who ordered her with him in the very first place. She pretends to be this innocent little princess desperate to escape and they think if they appeal to her, she will be able to get him to let them go.

Until she literally looks at them deadpan in the eyes and is like: I know he doesn’t love me. I don’t need him to love me. His job? Is to make sure I don’t kill you too quickly.

Because 10000% they are the reason she is like this. They glimpsed her future and still ordered her onto the Doctor’s TARDIS.

I bet you didn’t see this coming.

Okay but I wanna add this because it happened to me and I felt bad.

TO PREFACE THIS I DID HAVE HEADPHONES BUT THEY WERE NEW AND I DIDNT KNOW HOW TO USE THEM OR IF THEY WERE FLAT OR EVEN ON.

And this was before I knew they could be “on.”

I put them on, listening to black veil brides (heavy screaming btw) but no sound was coming through.

Turned it way up and I noticed I was getting looked at. Not only were my noise cancelling headphones not on and therefore playing Andy Biersack screaming his lungs out on a bus but my ears were more than half blocked.

Suffice to say I did a learn that day. Apologised to everyone on the bus and had an older lady give me a look of respect. (Dressed like a princess listening to heavy metal)

IT WAS ONCE AND ONCE ONLY BUT IT HAPPENED FOR ME. I SAY THIS AS SOMEONE WHO WILL JUST SUFFER IF I FORGET MY NOISE CANCELLING HEADPHONES
