DEAR GOD I COULD NOT POSSIBLY BE ANY MORE EXCITED FOR THIS. Paul Thomas Anderson is an absolute genius (I don’t use the word lightly) and there isn’t a film of his that I’m not in love with (yes, even going back to Sydney/Hard Eight). Hell, even this trailer is better than any movie I’ve seen this year.

Between this, and a new Wes Anderson movie, and a new Quentin Tarantino movie, and a new David O. Russell movie, and the annual new Woody Allen movie, and the final Batman movie, this is truly shaping up to be a movie lover’s year.

I agree with the opinions that are laid out in this article, (ie: it is less "Florence" and more "Machine") but I think that that is very legitimate for a sophomore album and I've also enjoyed this album a lot in general. It was not what I was expecting by any means, and although that can be seen as a 'let down,' I like to see it as a totally awesome right hook from outta no-where. I honestly can't help being in crazy love with FATM.
