Congrats to our winners of the Josie Maran giveaway!! Keep your eyes peeled for new giveaways in the coming weeks.

Beauty Giveaway: Josie Maran 100 percent Pure Argan Oil Light
We’re head over heels for the newest addition to Josie Maran’s stable of multi-purpose oils: 100% Pure Argan Oil Light. Apply it anywhere you could use an extra dose of moisture — your hair, cuticles, elbows, face— it fights dryness while leaving a semi-matte finish.
It has all the same ingredients as Josie Maran’s original argan oil — Vitamin E, emollient fatty acids — in a new lightweight formula that’s ideal for all skin types. Yes, even oily-skinned ladies (and gents) can use it — it actually replicates the sebum produced by your body naturally, so applying it lessens your skin’s need to create its own oils.
Want to give it a try? We’re giving away EIGHT bottles of Argan Oil Light to eight lucky readers!

Makeup primer is a clear or tinted cream that goes on before foundation to create a smooth surface for a more even makeup application. So, is it worth the extra five minutes in the morning? (And the additional cash?) Short answer: Whether or not investing in some primer makes sense for you will depend on the look you’re going for. Read more here.

Herve Leger Made a Lil' Tiny Bandage Dress for Barbie
Mattel teamed up with Herve Leger on a limited-edition Barbie wearing her sexiest look yet — a teensy version of the fashion label’s signature bandage dress. “As you can imagine, the biggest challenge was the scaling down of the knit,” chief creative officer Lubov Azria told WWD of Barbie’s outfit, which is modeled after a fall 2012 runway look. (Meaning, yes, you can buy a matching ensemble, American Girl Doll-style.)
The $150 Barbie comes with an outfit change of a black-and-white jacquard dress, open-toe booties and a studded clutch, just in case she decides that her corset belt and gladiator boots clash with her pink Corvette.Â
Herve Leger Barbie makes her debut on October 15th at Hervé Léger stores, select Neiman Marcus locations and on barbiecollector.com. Now if only a designer would help Ken step up his style game. That fedora has got to go.
This $8 Impulse Buy Has Brought Me Infinite Joy
Whoever said money can’t buy happiness obviously never purchased a Petco sailor costume for their cat. Like I did, when I was supposed to be buying cat food. But, in my defense, this matching cap and collar set was right next to the checkout line — prime real estate for impulse buys — and it was only $8. Money well spent, I think! Even if my cat disagrees.
The thing about cat costumes is, at best, your cat will be mildly indifferent to wearing one, and at worst, he or she will scratch the shit out of you and then spend the rest of the day sulking under the couch. But really, it’s worth the risk, if only to snap one (quick!) photo of your grumpy feline suffering the indignity of wearing clothes.
Oh, and if you’re lucky enough to have two kitties, may I suggest buying Petco's sailor ensemble and their MerCat outfit?
BB Mine: My Top Three BB Creams, at Every Price Point
"BB Creams (short for beauty or blemish creams) are sort of like amped-up tinted moisturizers. In addition to hydrating and providing light-to-medium coverage, BB’s are packed with anti-aging ingredients and SPF. (Oh, and they make your pores look teeny tiny.) But, even though almost every beauty brand has a BB Cream on the market, some are definitely better at giving you that airbrushed look than others. See my top three all-time favorite BB’s, this way!" - The Fashion Hub
Move Over, Phillip Lim: Target’s New Guest Designer Is…
Have you checked out Phillip Lim’s Target collection yet? No? Well, it launched this weekend and if you haven’t scooped up your faux leather Pashli mini satchel by now you’re basically too late, because Target has moved on. To Peter Pilotto!
Yes, the design duo unveiled their upcoming collab with the big box retailer today, via some flashing lights on their London Fashion Week runway — a spectacle the front row dutifully Instagrammed, of course.
The mostly-under-$60 70-piece capsule collection, which is set to launch February 9th, will include women’s apparel, accessories, and swimwear. And, according to this teaser video, it’ll be full of Peter Pilotto’s signature kaleidoscopic prints. (And, we hope, their cropped trousers, structured dresses, and beautifully paneled skirts.)

Petrol Patrol
Thank you, designers, for taking the beautiful murky rainbow that happens when gasoline hits water and making it wearable. And non-smelly. There’s something sort of futuristic — and surprisingly neutral — about the iridescent finish designers like Cynthia Rowley and Rebecca Minkoff splashed across their looks this season. Wear these oil-dipped creations like you would black (casually, with anything) and watch them flash from gray to purple to green and back again in the late summer sun.
