I haven't been on here in forever but we welcomed our baby girl into the world 8/25/22. She is the best thing that's ever happened to me and I'm in love with motherhood. Life is good. I'm a SAHM now and adjusting ok! 2 months strong EBF Dealing with a bit of PPD and PPA but Adam has been so supportive. And I got my little ginger buddy to keep me company all day.
Its been a while since I've updated, but ultrasound video and also, we found out with sneak peek that this baby is a girl!!
After almost 15 months of infertility, heart ache, tears, tests, drs visits, medication, tracking, supplements, and most importantly PRAYING.....
Baby Morris due August 2022 ❤❤❤
So, after multiple negative tests and a very cruel indent on a FRER, AF decided to show her face today. Also it turns out the fertility specialist can't see me until November? So my obgyn agreed to keep working with me and I will be starting Letrozole in a couple of days. This has been a wild ride but I'm ready for the next step!
Well, once more a change in plans. My OBGYN decided that instead of having me on Femara, he went a referral for me to a fertility specialist. I'll be talking to them next week to discuss things such as services, payment plans, pricing, and possibly scheduling an appointment. I don't really know what happens from here.... my OBGYN is still going to go ahead and retest my hormones (LH,FSH,testosterone, and estrogen) on day 3 next cycle to get more accurate results. The rest is up to the fertility specialist.
Mixed emotions is an understatement. Part of me is excited and ready while the other part of me is exhausted, tired, and emotional.
I pray for answers and solutions quickly. I want to be a mom so badly.... but I'll continue to praise God, for his blessings he pours over my life.
Here's to the next step in this fertility journey. One step at a time.
I just got my results back and I in fact didn't ovulate. I knew to expect this, I just had a feeling this was an anovulatory cycle. It blows my mind how my first month of Clomid was so perfect and I ovulated and now I triple the dose and nothing. But my heart is still a little heavy this morning.
I'm keeping my faith in God and trusting his plans for my life. Next month we start the Femara. Here's to new chapters, God is good through it all.
Officially switched to Femara. Now its a waiting game for AF to show because I highly doubt I'm going to ovulate this cycle. I think I've come to accept that and I've grieved it already, so I'm ready to get this month over with so I can start this next chapter.
---------------------------------------------------
But I also have good news!
-I weighed myself for the first time in a few weeks and I'm down an additional 8lbs. That makes a total of 26lbs lost so far!
-Adam gets a raise next month
- We have come up with a solid plan about our next steps ttc that I am fully confident in. For the next few months, we focus on becoming even more healthy (continuing eating clean, going to the gym, and upkeeping vitamins) while also taking Femara. We also want to get additional tests done to see if we can spot anything when it comes to our fertility. We'll do these things until February (we technically have sorta kinda been "trying" since we got married but we didn't start going all in until February, so we'll give it until that 1 year mark). If we haven't conceived by then, we will look into IUI.
It already feels like a long process month after month of trying. I know we probably have a long road ahead of us as well. But I am fully confident that we can do this!
Also, I'm no longer entertaining negative anons. I don't care if you like the choices and plans my husband and I have for our family. I am a grown woman and I don't have to answer to anyone about the choices we make. If we want to TTC, that is our right to do so.
CD19 and I still haven't really had any signs of ovulation. With my PdG test coming up in a few days, I highly doubt I'm going to get favorable results. I went ahead and talked to my OB and we decided that if I in fact didn't ovulate this cycle, next cycle we would switch from Clomid to Letrozole.
Here's to next steps. God is good through it all.
I have had two miscarriages. I have had years of anovulatory cycles. I have TTC in the past with failure month after month and now I am married and once more TTC. First few months unassisted and of course they were anovularory. Now I'm on month #4 of Clomid waiting for ovulation. Over the years, my issues and my fears have left me exhausted and a little discouraged.
But you want to know what isn't helpful?
Telling me to just adopt. Telling me I'm not meant to have biological babies. Adam and I definitely want to adopt one day, but we don't want to adopt just because "we can't do it naturally so you're the last option". We want to adopt because we want to adopt. Our future child we do adopt doesn't deserve to be our last resort, not at least without us fighting tooth and nail first.
This is to both the people I know in real life and the anon who graciously came to me and told me to stop trying to have kids because I've had miscarriages.
Many women face miscarriage and infertility. Sometimes multiple times. Sometimes it takes years. But the child at the end of it all makes it so worth it. I will not give up hope on this.
Your opinions aren't wanted.
Looks like month #3 on Clomid is also going to be a no go. Temps dropped dramatically and AF should be here any time now. Here's to next month, God is still good!
Dear God
I'm angry. I would be lying if I said part of that anger wasn't directed at you. As human as I am, I know that's unfair and not right. I know I heard you when you told me to just trust you, but its hard. I got my hopes up when I saw that doctor and he started me on Clomid. I felt like I did everything right.... I lost 20lbs, cut down on carbs, joined the gym, timed everything perfect, did the ovulation tests and tracking, stayed consistent day to day. And yet, after a 29 day cycle, my bbt crashed below the coverline and I stared at my 5th negative test that cycle with the largest weight in my heart. A few hours later, aunt flow showed her nasty face.
I cried my tears and felt my feelings but decided to trust you and try again. Once more I take the Clomid. I deal with all of the hot flashes and nausea and mood swings it caused. I continue to eat healthy and go to the gym 4-5 times a week. I stay on top of temping and opks. I confirm ovulation with these things and get excited, I watch my temps rise. I see as I get a triphasic chart that is common to pregnancy. But then I get a call from the doctor, my progesterone levels were only 8. Not numbers he wanted to see. It fell in normal range but it was weak ovulation. If I did conceive, there was a high chance of the baby not implanting and essentially causing a miscarriage that I would never know about. I watch my temps rise until about 9dpo. Then then lower at 10dpo just a little. I reach 12dpo, they lower just a little more. I get a negative pregnancy test. My cramps are feeling less like implantation cramps and now feel like period cramps. I'm guessing AF will once more come in a matter of a couple of days. My doctor wants to up my Clomid dose from 50mg to 100mg.
God, I feel cheated. I feel this is some sick joke. I feel like I'm burning with anger and jealousy and depression because my body is broken and I can't give my husband a baby, and I feel like less than a woman. Even with the medication, my body still won't conceive a child.
I know that isn't fair to just be mad. I know I can't blame you... after all, you are God and your plans are good. Through the heartache and anger, I know that. I know that your ways and your thoughts are higher than mine. And I pray daily for your will to be done. Your will wasn't meant for last cycle. Your will doesn't seem like it was meant for this cycle either.
I'm tired. I feel like I'm doing everything right but I'm still a step behind. Or maybe several steps behind. I don't want to be that broken woman. None of my friends understand and I feel like I can't talk to anyone about this.
But I know you understand, God. You go before me and you know my heart and what I'm feeling before I can even feel them. You know how tiring this journey is. You know that I'm discouraged and that my heart is broken. You see the tears I'm crying.
And its not fair for me to think that this Clomid and tracking and "doing everything right" can surpass you. You are sovereign, after all, and you are good. Maybe I'm not putting my faith in you like I should be.
Help me, God. With my faith. Give me strength and peace just for the moment. Help me not to worry and stress. Help me to rejoice in the waiting because your plans for me are good.
Amen.
My date tonight! We went out with our families to dinner to celebrate Adam being finished with Drug court. I am so so so in love with this man and he will forever be my favorite dinner date.
Today Adam is officially done with drug court and got his expungement papers! God has moved so much in his life, taking him from his lowest point and redeeming him and giving him strength everyday on his recovery journey. Words can't describe just how proud of him I am and how happy I am to call this man my husband!
14dpo and every test I've had since 9dpo has been negative. My temps are now starting to slowly get lower and lower. By tomorrow they will likely be below the coverline and I'll start AF.
My heart is heavy and I would be lying if I said I haven't cried multiple times this week. Everything between Clomid side effects and tracking everything daily and getting my hopes up have been mentally and physically draining and now I have to do it again next month.
But through it all, my eyes are on God. I'm trusting his plan is perfect for my life and my family's. This was my could have been baby, and now it has me one step closer to my meant to be baby. The baby God has planned for us, whenever it'll be.
Thank you, God. Thy will be done.
I thought it would make me mad, but instead it just broke my heart. I still pray for you all of the time, because I hate things ended the way they did and even now, your mind is so far off and so is your heart.
