Shockingly, (not really) the computer I got for school work can't support Subnautica 2 on it. So instead of playing the early access and parasocially experiencing the game with others, I have been playing videos in the background while painting some of my favorite creatures from the first game. The graduation cap was just the practice run.
Individual and initial start pictures under the cut
Subnautica is such an important game to me unlike any others I have owned/played.
The Sea Emperor's last lines go so well with graduation. We all may be going in different directions, but on commencement, we will all be leave together.
Thena was conflicted about entering the afterlife. She wasn't ready to leave the Lamb and wasn't sure what to say to her family if they were waiting on her. If not for the Lamb resurrectingbher, she would have tried to avoid entering and wait in the gateway until the Lamb's next death just to talk to them again. Being resurrected comes with its own conflicting feelings.
The conclusion of Thena's first death, and the first resurrection spell performed in the cult.
Even with a shattered mind, Shamura knew the importance of the picture. They don't remember why they started to cross out their siblings, but just continued as each one was defeated.
Narinder swore he would take his disciples back to their families a long time ago. As the Lamb got closer to defeating Kallamar and Shamura, that dream felt more like an attainable reality. It was never fair for two young children to be taken from their mother because of his family dispute, Forneus deserved to see her children again. The Lamb deserved to see their family again and rest like they wanted.
This was the Lamb's hardest fight. Not because Narinder was so much stringer, but because they had to pick between their life (and their followers) or Narinder's. This wasn't the outcome they wanted. They didn't agree to die for his freedom.
Thena is one of the few followers Narinder knows the name of. One because the Lamb doesn't shut up about the first few, and two because of her parents teaching her to pray to him. For a while, she was his eyes into the living world. He respects her for that.
There are only a few deaths that he can't heal the dead from before sending them to the afterlife. Drowning is unfortunately one of them as there is no injury to heal. The only thing to do is wait as the individual expels the icor now coating their insides.
The spy attempted to kill the Lamb through Thena, and use that moment to run away with the gold. Unfortunately for them, they forgot to wait until the Lamb got their food and was dying before making a run for it. They were caught and trapped in the pilloried until after they dealt with the death of Thena.
They were having fun and being silly. Who knew that would make them parents?
Thena panicked with Webber for days. The flock would notice her look around lost for what to do, but look lovingly at him. The Lamb stayed in the cult for a while to help with the new infant they mistakenly created until they found a solution.
Webber became their child and it wasn't until years later, and a major event, that an adoption ceremony was held for him and they became is official guardians.

As embarrassing as that night was, Thena later brought up the idea of a Rite of Lust. At this point the crown has made its consciousness known and the demand for sin. Her Polite request, in turn for helping plan the rules/acceptable actions for the rite, was to send her on missions for the duration of the rituals. It works for the most part, with the occasional mistake of coming back too soon. The worst that happens is she gets asked to join by every cult member. They made it a game to see who she considers the longest before running to her home and hiding for the next few days. So far Pumer was winning, but she was also the first to ask and Thena chose to leave the grounds and spent two weeks with Forneus before the Lamb found her and brought her back.
The reason for staying away: "I thought Henana would kill me and wanted to make sure it was safe."
Thorjultre was good at painting. After asking Thena to make some spare paints, he made the original to show the 4 who started it all and built the temple and shrine. After Lambert brought Shamura into the cult and back from purgatory, a new follow made a new version to show their growth as individuals and shift in their relationships.
During one of her deaths, Thena offered to make Forneus a tapestry of her sons. Baal asked to not make it obvious that she met them, and she agreed. While Thena technically could have done a tapestry of the two of them based on the photo Forneus showed her, she chose the symbols on their weapons as she knew them as forneus's sun and moon before Baal and Aym.
The one time the Lamb let Leshy back into Darkwood, he took his time in the final room until he located the last tapestry he was gifted by his cult. The crown showed it to be stained with dirt, but well made. He punished the cultists for giving him such a poorly kept tapestry, but he didn't want to get rid of it. Now there is a tear in it from the fight with the Lamb but it still held together after hundreds of years of abandonment. Leshy was careful to carry it back to the cult grounds and return it to Thena. While he lost everything and was no longer the god depicted in the tapestry, it was the last thing Thena had of her Papa and he wanted to give it back to her as an apology for what his cult did to her family.
The four leaders/most important individuals sleeping gave everyone else an excuse to stop working. After the embarrassment, the Lamb saw that everyone was more rested and fewer arguments were breaking out in the following days. This led to the ritual of rest at least once a month.
The Lamb does the same job every day with the only changes becling on crusades. Even then, it is a continuous repetitive task. They don't sleep, and claim their deaths are rest enough. This is where their trusted friends take over.
It took many years of dodging and "lying" before the Lamb found a solution to the courtship they and Thena didn't want. That was Adoption. (They couldn't think of a better name)
While mostly for the cult members to adopt the young Lambert finds on crusades, it can also be used to permanently bind two or more people together as family. While not a lamb, Thena is the closest thing to a sister and chose this moment to demonstrate the ritual.
This comes with a small feast and a half day of work. Depending on resources, there may even be a bonfire. For children being adopted, they wear a special outfit to signify the occasion. Pumer asked for this be the one moment Thena might wear a wedding dress knowing it would be the only time.
Wedding are different as they involve a lot of drinking, dancing, larger feast, and (after all children are asleep) many partake in sin
