Tumblr is so insane

Another life lost due to police brutality. Her name was Jessie Hernandez. She was 16. Brown. Queer. Loved. She was fatally shot by police in Denver this morning.

“A neighbor captured a video of the female suspect being searched by police after she was shot. In the video, the teen is handcuffed and rolled on her stomach and back on the ground, appearing to be searched. The girl is limp, silent and motionless as officers move her about.”

I don’t care what she was a suspect of, this is disgusting. Officers couldn’t take a petite teen girl into custody? Right. She was just a child. My thoughts are with her family.

Anyone who looks at this and reblogs this is wrong. Police could not have taken her into CUSTODY because she stole a car and tried to run over an officer!

I'm fed up

Every month or so I go back on tumblr to see if I've missed anything important. A month ago I was scrolling through and saw so many posts about Michael Brown being killed by police, and I think it's stupid that the police got away with it and I was taken aback by reports. However looking this month, I see no posts about Ismaaiyl Brinsley's gunning of two innocent police officers. Does tumblr work something like 'Black man killed by white guy=really fucking bad (and it is), yet a white man and an asian man killed by a black man=meh, doesn't matter'? The Michael Brown thing was horrible but what's even worse is that nothing is being said about an equally, if not more morbid incident. I left Tumblr for reasons just like this.
