The moment they step inside, Bojan leans against a wall and pulls Jere flush against him. Their lips meet again, neither wasting any of the short amount of time they have together before Bojan has to be at the airport. "Can we pretend like you just got off the stage, and you saw me in the crowd?" Bojan mumbles against Jere's lips. "I saw you in the crowd," Jere repeats, and means it. He wonders if Bojan knows just how well he did see him last night. "I think you really liked watching me," he murmurs and tugs at Bojan's hair.

I don't know if this technically counts as "photobashing", but if you remember the polaroid IG stories that were shared of JO, I just photoshopped Bojan's, Nace's and Jure's names together to create the [Bojan + Jere] text and drew underneath it. The + sign is literally shooped from the letter A 😂

I'm not really great with backgrounds and that's where I struggled the most. Trying to draw Martin was certainly... something. Somehow, to me, he still looks like Jan, but fuck it we ball I guess. I did end up throwing a blur filter over him because it was bothering me, and I wanted the main focus to be on bojere ofc.

a little ramble about writing under the cut

I started writing this fic almost two years ago. When I heard that @sepetajmikolikomehoces was writing a similar premise for the Bojere fanbook (go read RSVP it’s amazing), I decided to put it on the shelf for a bit (two cakes is awesome! but maybe there needs to be a little gap in between them if they’re this similar!).

It stayed on the shelf for quite a while. For the longest time, I didn’t think I’d be able to finish it. (The idea required too many words for me to handle! The romcom style wouldn’t carry! I don’t write longfics! Who cares about this stuff anymore!) Still, I tinkered with it sometimes, but it was only when I pitched the idea to @pienimehilainen that it really took off in my mind. Thanks to her talent and enthusiasm, soon enough I had complete wedding visuals to draw inspiration from, plus the best sparring partner anyone could ever hope for <3

Still, it took over a year before I managed to really dig into it again. This past winter and spring I worked on it at my familiar, glacial pace of approximately 15 words at a time. I really thought I’d never finish. But Bojere week gave me the last push to get done the pieces that were still missing, and I was finally confident enough that I would indeed get the last words in place so I could start posting that week. 

And here we are! I doubt that I’ll get the motivation to write anything this long anymore. But I know that’s what I always say. I was very excited to share this with everyone. I’m very proud I did actually manage something this long (for me). Thank you everyone who's read it!

🔎Pienet yksityiskohdat, joista Ikkunaprinssissä tykkään, on Jeren koomiset ajatukset ja kaikki Sonnyyn liittyvä. Ne hetket, joissa Jere esim. ohikiitävän hetken suunnittelee ajavansa Jessen päältä autolla. Ja sitten kaikki Sonnyn repliikit. Niitä oli hauska kirjoittaa ja omasta mielestä ne elävöittää tekstiä paljon. Näihin yksityiskohtiin ei liity mitään varsinaista backstorya, mutta koko tarinan backstory on se, kun Jere valitti Nordiksella kesällä 2025 siitä, että kun hän osti asuntonsa niin välittäjä ei kertonut, että viereen aletaan rakentaa toista taloa, ja sen talon paalutus ynnä muut rakennustyöt herätti Jeren aina aivan liian aikaisin😁 Sekin saattoi olla tuolta keikalta poimittu yksityiskohta, että Jere oli saanut sakkoja omaan parkkiruutuunsa parkkeeraamisesta...? Jostain se lore on napattu!

🔮Joskus oon kyllä miettinyt, että mitähän niille kuuluu. Mitähän Bojan tekee saatuaan gradunsa valmiiksi? Ehkä tässä universumissa Bojankin voisi olla sellainen teemubrunilamainen enemmän taustalla operoiva biisintekijä (joka silloin tällöin ehkä laulaa itsekin..?) jota biisien kirjoittaminen alkaisi viedä ympäri maailmaa. Klassinen bojere-ongelma, eli kaukosuhde, voisi silloin kohottaa päätään 🤔

🤍: which one of your fics (or more!) has the most vivid image in your mind? something that really stuck to you in a positive way while you were writing the scene? 👀✨️

I feel like most of my fics start as very vivid images! I'm very much the kind of writer who sort of sees things in my mind like a movie, and then I write down what I see.

I like to look for visual inspiration too, whatever I'm writing. So, in my mind, the cabin from jos sulla on toinen is very vivid and clear, even though it's not based on any specific real cabin. The restaurant and bar are also very very vivid in my mind. Same goes for Ikkunaprinssi, for example. All of it is very vivid and clear. Fun fact about Ikkunaprinssi is that there's a scene where Jere and his friends are celebrating juhannus at a cabin. I don't know why, but for some reason my brain decided that some of the rooms in that cabin are exactly the same as some rooms in my grandparent's house when I was growing up 😆

But the most vivid images are actually from a WIP I'm working on right now. In fact, that WIP is currently nothing more but vivid images in my head and some dialogue written in a document.

23. brushing strands of hair away 😭 bojere?

This turned out more introspective than I'd expected, but what's Bojere without at least a tiny bit of angst, right? 👀 I hope you like it and thanks for the request! ❤️

By the time Jere makes it to the green room, Bojan is already doing the rounds with his bandmates and the crew, laughing and joking and chattering away so fast that it’s a wonder he doesn’t trip over his own words. He means to sneak up on him, surprise him, but it seems that Bojan has other plans because he spots him the moment that he makes it through the door. “Jere!” He hadn’t known anyone could light up even more than Bojan already had. This isn’t the Bojan he sees through the Instagram clips and the perfume adverts that his bandmates slip him over WhatsApp for a laugh. This is the Bojan he brings to family dinner to charm his grandma, the Bojan he belts out cheesy karaoke with, the Bojan he wakes up next to on far fewer mornings than he’d like to. He’s sweaty and bursting with elation as he heads straight for him, suddenly up close enough that Jere can see every mark and laughter line that the camera refuses to acknowledge. His hair is an absolute mess, falling into his big brown eyes in the same way it does in the mornings. It’s muscle memory by now to reach out and brush it aside, to try to put it behind his ear even though he knows it will slip forward again almost as soon as he’s moved his hand. He can’t remember whether they’ve ever had any kind of sense of personal space. He suspects they haven’t, actually, as he remembers a shoulder nudge from the stranger next to him at a lunch table in Madrid as if to launch a call of don’t worry, you’re not alone clear over the language barrier. He just knows that Bojan won’t mind because he’s never minded, because whenever they’re together it’s just been so easy to forget where one of them ends and the other begins. For the first time in ages, there’s that hopefulness about him that Jere loves to see, as though every last problem in the world has no chance of reaching him right now. Fame hasn’t always been the kindest to Bojan, despite all the determination he powers himself with. He hasn’t seen him like this since Thailand, halfway round the world from real life and finally getting a chance to just exist away from demands and deadlines and people watching just a little too closely for the slightest stumble. It’s how he should always be, Jere thinks. At his happiest and most beautiful. Invincible to anything life can throw at him. Of course, from there, it’s not like he’ll be able to concentrate long enough on doing or saying anything before he kisses him, so that’s exactly what he leans in to do. It’s little more than a quick press of warm lips, as short as all their time together seems to be with a plane ever present on the horizon, but it’s no less familiar for it. Weeks and months can and do pass between them being in the same country let alone the same room, and yet kissing Bojan feels like home each and every time in the same way his arms feel when they’re wrapped around him or his smile looks whenever he turns to Jere. It wrenches his heart every time he thinks of it, almost enough to cry. He catches himself just as Bojan pulls back, still buzzing with excitement, full of questions about what Jere had thought of the set and what he’d liked best, as though he could wrangle all of his thoughts into words as immediately as that. There’ll be time enough for tears tomorrow after he leaves Bojan at the airport, even if it’s just a snatched few minutes before he has to carry on with his own day. So he leans in instead for another kiss and prays it’ll last a bit longer: the way Bojan is glowing with joy, their kiss, their time together, all of it.

RE: Wedding Date—I just went back to check because I could’ve sworn I left this as a comment but apparently I didn’t and I apologize for the oversight: When the first chapter came out, my immediate reaction was “my favorite pair in my favorite trope from my favorite author?? fuck yes!!!” so please don’t be disheartened. 🫶🏻

Thanks! No need to apologise! Like I said, I didn't say any of that to guilt trip anyone, just observing about the current state of things ❤️

The reason I prefer ao3 comments is that those I read and reread (unlike tumblr asks that get lost in the blog [even though i love gettin tumblr asks don't get me wrong] or discord discussions i never even see). I cherish every feedback I get and love to come back to them, and fic comments on ao3 are something I can always see if I need to. Neatly in the same place! Ao3 comments also invite more comments - nobody wants to be an only commenter. At best, they make the place feel like a community.

Again, this is so hard to talk about because everything just sounds like complaining, but the topic is actually quite interesting!

Also, I know I'm lucky in that I still have any readers at all ❤️

RE: your tags: I can relate. Ao3 comments are what I read when I feel like everything I write sucks. As much as my primary motivation is just the love of writing, nothing beats getting a comment about how something I've written has resonated with someone else.

I'm eternally grateful for every kudos I get and every tumblr comment, reblog, message or ask I've received. I genuinely am. I never want anyone to feel like that mode of communication is "less than". I see you and I love you, please know that. But reading through the comments right there where the fic itself is, there is something about it that is so comforting and so uplifting. It's so immediate, that it feels like something I've made is being loved out loud.

So I completely understand feeling disheartened and lonely sometimes. I haven't been here for that long and I wasn't there for the height of this community, and as this blog is not very active, it's not like I can claim to be a very active member of this community myself a lot of the time. But I can see the change - not just within our community, but overall, everywhere. Bringing it up is not easy, because none of us are perfect ourselves. But it's valid. And I can relate.

I knew that intellectually but it never truly clicked until I opened an old favorite last night to get lost in for the thousandth time. But if you’re a fanfiction author, someone out there is reading and rereading your stories. Someone out there is loving your world and words not just once but over and over and over again.

That’s amazing.

So here’s a shoutout to the readers and rereaders. The commenters and kudosers and lurkers and everyone and anyone who has ever picked a fic up and loved it.

And here’s a shoutout to the writers, in case you need a pick me up or a slight bit of love. Somewhere, out there on a screen under a sky you’ve never seen, your story is coming to life.
