sometimes i think stuffed animal collectors forget that first and foremost they are toys meant to be loved and cuddled and played with. its okay if they get dirty. i see people talk about getting multiples of the same stuffed animal one for cuddling and one for display and its odd to me

I hope it's okay to add to this! I am very passionate about this subject. I agree that just having them on display, never to be touched and just kept in pristine condition is odd considering they are, as you point out, originally meant to be loved and cuddled and played with.

However, for example I have multiples of certain Jellycats that are very dear to me and I want to have more than one to love and play with. And sometimes it's just nice to have one in the original condition compared to the uber-loved one in my bed. No matter how often I give my Fuddlewuddle a spa day, he looks quite different from the ones that haven't been cuddled as much. I also have multiples because I'm afraid of losing the original one, and especially in Jellycats, the differences between the "same stuffed animal" can be huge. But I digress.

Most importantly, I think some people just genuinely prefer to look at and admire their stuffed animals. It can be incredibly visually stimulating rather than a tactile thing. Or maybe they like to take photos of them in creative scenes (and they want them to look "nice" for the photos so they have one for photos and one to cuddle) Or maybe they just like lining them up and rearranging them by color or style etc.

Whatever they do, however many they get of the same stuffed animal, the way I've always looked at it, is that's THAT person's way of interacting, loving and "playing" with the stuffed animal and it's not any less valid, even if they don't cuddle it or play with it in a "traditional way".

There is no one right way to love a stuffed animal.

Im sorry if im stupid and this is obvious or if im putting my foot in my mouth in any way (im autistic and sometimes I have a hard time understanding implications of things in text). But your dni says not to interact if you are/are okay with CGLRE and littlespace. But I thought you were an agere account? So why can’t they interact? Again I’m very sorry feel free to ignore this i just don’t want to break any boundaries on accident. I thought CGL was the kink and CGLRE was just agere community but maybe I’m wrong.

Here's a post where I explained it in the past /nm as for littlespace, its just another term I'm not comfortable with. I don't have many spoons right now, so I apologize if I sound dry or upset, your question is fine and I'm not mad at you for asking!
