       If he wanted to be honest, the boy would tell the powerful being that he      didn’t know what the barrier even was, or how to get rid of it. He needed       to, however, buy time for him and his family. For a moment it looked like       he was in deep thought as his mind raced with all of the things that he was       able to tell the being. Of course he could detect that it was a lie, so he saw       no use in even trying.

                   “I have no idea what you’re talking about, Cipher.”

      He tried to sound as brave as he possibly could, but in truth it was obvious       the young man was scared beyond his wits. He clenched his fists tight and       swallowed hard, taking a step back from the demon to get space between        the two. Frankly, he usually wasn’t this scared of Bill.. But since he finally       saw what he was truly capable of, he wasn’t so brave anymore.. 

                  “Let me go --- now.” Idiot.

   Dipper hated working at the Mystery Shack, it always smelled    weird in there and it was really boring. But he always had to act    like the attractions were real and make sure that everyone there    was entertained. He also had to act happy and like he loved his    job there.. When in reality he wanted to go explore out in the deep    woods where all the mysteries lied.

   “Hi! Welcome to the Mystery Shack ----- home of the world famous    monkey-mermaid hybrid!” Gross.

   The Science Fair was the biggest thing that he enjoyed about    school. It was a fantastic way to show off his smarts --- and he    was definitely sure that he’d win this year. Especially since his    grunkle Ford taught him some interesting and semi-safe things    that he used to do for science fairs when he was a kid his age.    He’s got this in the bag -- right? 

   Dipper wandered around to admire the other projects kids were    working on.. but came across something extraordinary. 

   “What? ..There’s no way a kid built this..”

    “Mabel, I literally have zero idea on what the heck you’re talking     about. Gideon dresses in a blue suit, not in an orange shirt and a     blue jacket. I think Gravity Falls is getting to you.” He cocked up     an eyebrow, finding it odd that she even accused him of dressing     like GIDEON..

     Dipper didn’t know that. All he saw was a man -- or     rather a skeleton, looming above him with great height.     Maybe he was another mystery of Gravity Falls? Or     maybe he was something else..

     “Yeah.. Great person..” He hesitatingly said, taking a     step back.

        The sudden feeling of fear had warped over the younger twin,        But he masked it with a facade of anger and determination.         Dipper was definitely afraid of the demon’s powers, having         nightmares about him almost frequently. It was so strange         though ----- the feeling that Bill gave off was not really one         of intimidation or fearfulness, but something more playful         than that.

        Dipper knew damn well that whatever he did would face         little to no match to the power that Bill had possessed,         so he saw no use in attempting to fight the demon. It         was almost like he was asking for a death wish if he         did so.

               “Where did you put me, Bill?” 

        He demanded as his tone serious and his stance fairly          defensive. But underneath that false facade of strength         were quivering knees and sweaty palms.. Well, sweaty         palms were normal -- but still.

      “Mabel, why is there glitter all over the ceiling?”         Surely she knew that if their grunkle found out,          they would have to clean it or get yelled at. Or         even worse.. go fishing with him both.

        What was this place? Where was this place? There was an eerie         feeling that trudged through hie entire body, like there was a being         watching him. All he remembered was that there was a sudden         hit to his head, and he woke up here. Eek -- he shouldn’t have          thought about the contact with his head. He took his right hand         and rubbed his forehead, wincing a bit as he did so. Whatever         hit him, it hit him hard ----- and it definitely wasn’t on accident.

        As he rubbed his head, he glanced around the room. This wasn’t         any place he had been before, that was for sure. It was filled with         all sorts of books and an.. odd looking couch. He looked to the right,         discovering a piano. Dipper’s curiosity peaked and he [ s l o w l y ]         made his way to the piano, pressing one of the keys. A high note         was played, and he decided that there wan’t any more to it. It was         a normal piano. He was surprised there was anything normal left         in the small town of Gravity Falls..

        He went towards the books, carefully pulling one of them off of the         wall. Maybe there was one that could tell him what this room was,         and how to get out of it? He didn’t know.. But all he wanted was to         leave and have everything be back to normal again..
