The only way the day could take a turn for the worst would be if her father ever so kindly threw conversation with a stranger upon her. Unfortunately, there was a worse scenario. Hitting right into an unsuspecting victim.

“Oh gosh, I am terribly sorry.” Elizabeth gathered herself up, dissolving into apologies profusely spewing in some terrible attempt at recovery.
