To be honest, I never thought that I would be making a post like this. Follower Milestone posts, yeah, but a post celebrating one entire year on Tumblr and my six bazillion blogs I’ve made over the year? When I first started, I didn’t even think I’d have more than one blog. And now I’m making a heartfelt post about my time on this wild mess of a site...

But first I’ve gotta make a little extra special thank you towards a group of people. Every single person over at @smash-nation deserves all of the love in the world! When making my first blog, which is the now archived @pikmin-commander-archived , my best friend basically made the blog for me, seeing how I knew nothing about Tumblr. He helped me into Smash Nation, I had my first threads from there, and only went on from there. They’re a REALLY FREAKIN’ NICE group of people, and I honestly don’t think I would’ve had this much fun here if it wasn’t for the kickstart those folks gave me.

@mayors-best-friend was my second blog, and I genuinely think that I had the most fun over on Isabelle. First time making a blog on my own, and the incredible reception my little pupper got was fantastic. From there, it was @valdephaestus ; which was a short but wonderful run || @musical-earth-feathers || @crazed-kabooms || @masterprotector ; my Knuckles who is an absolute joy to write. If Isabelle isn’t my favorite blog so far, it certainly goes to Knuckles || @jcyfillled || @hiiragihair || And my newly made blogs @cosmcther & @king-dddeluxe ; both of which I AM LOVING CURRENTLY. All of those blogs, some done, but all extremely fun for the time they lasted.

Alright, I’ll be wrapping it up soon now, I promise. I just wanna mention the people I’ve met throughout my time on Tumblr. Like, I’ve met some fantastic people, and some of you I’d actually enjoy being friends with you, because I consider you just that. These mentions are across all of my blogs, not just for Olimar, though my archived Olimar is the blog I’ll be posting this on first! Now, in no real particular order, here we go! Thanks again!

Cosmo raises one of their gloves, bending forward slightly with enthusiasm.

“Ah – no offense taken! You’ll be very pleased with the changes I’ve made!”

The Dreamsider watches carefully as the front panel of the other’s ship flipped open, and a strangely-colored light shone down on the ground beneath them. They wouldn’t have said it openly, but they were pleasantly surprised with the other’s method of getting inside their ship – similar methods and technology were commonly used in the Space Kingdom. So, without further questioning the other, they stepped into the rays of light, being zipped inside after only a few seconds.

As soon as they were comfortably situated within the ship with the other, they study the controls in front of them. Cosmo keeps their hands to themselves, however, as they suppose it’s better to allow the other to operate the ship. After all, their invention had already done its job.

“Let’s get this show on the road, shall we? I believe it would be better if you found out the surprise for yourself.”

The spaceman was skeptical, but at this point, taking off and seeing just what Cosmo had done seemed like the only thing to do. Pikmin Onions had been around the Dolphin, and the Pikmin themselves had been put away, ready to follow the main ship once it took off. That just left the liftoff itself...

“Yes, I suppose we shall,” Olimar said, eyes turning to the rabbit’s glasses, lights inside the ship making them mighty reflective. Olimar didn’t like it, but that was one of the few things about the rabbit he would rather not worry about. He walked past and through an arched doorway to a room occupied by a large glass dome, showing the outside of the ship. The Captain took a seat, slipping into his seat and giving a nod, fingers pressing button after button on the large control panel displayed out in front of him. Not soon after, the loud roars of the S.S. Dolphin’s engine drowned out any other possible sound. Olimar was ready for the comfortable takeoff, but instead of steadily leaving the ground, with intense speed, the Dolphin blasted off, controls locking themselves, and Olimar tossed from the pilot’s seat.

The spaceman had been thrown from the room and back to the one the both of them had entered in. He would’ve yelled, but the force of the ship moving was pressing him down easily. Arms pressed, though to no avail. “W-W-What’s g-going on, you b-blasted rabbit!” Olimar hardly got out, seeing how his entire face was getting rather intimate with the bottom half of his helmet. After more drowned out yelling, he could feel the ship head for the ground, and with little information to know whether to brace himself or not, the ship stopped with a violent crash, and Olimar soon found himself flung outside of his own ship onto unfamiliar terrain. The last thing he saw was the sights of the Red, Blue, and Yellow Pikmin Onions before he hit the outside with a Thump.

“Well, that’s hardly something to celebrate, but yes! I suppose it has been fifteen years since I’ve met the Pikmin! I do think I should do something for them, seeing as though I wouldn’t be standing here to answer this very question had it not been for my flowery friends. I wonder if Louie would mind making another cake for the Pikmin themselves...”

(If you're having trouble with jumpstarting the blog, one way I do things to get my creative juices flowing is to do a little drabble. For Olimar, personally I would go with making more-detailed research notes on enemies from the first Pikmin, since the data logs on the enemies from the first Pikmin were kinda short and only really got into detail about the weaknesses where in Pikmin 2 he went full-science about them)

((Actually, funny you’d say that, because when I first made this blog, I was thinking of doing little daily log-like note for him like he did at the end of every day in the Pikmin games. Then I quickly realized that there was no way in ANY world I was going to be able to keep up the logs by the day. But I really do like writing drabbles, so I just might do that. I feel like I’d just be rehashing the super detailed Pikmin 2 research notes if I just wrote out my take on them. Oh! Maybe I could write Olimar’s type of journal entries on characters he’s met so far! That sounds like fun, actually.))

“Of course! As promised, it will only take mere moments to complete the process.”

Cosmo gives one more glance at the trembling Pikmin and Olimar, before clasping their hands together and setting off at a leisurely stride towards the S.S. Dolphin. Wasting no time, they maneuver around to the back of the spaceship and pull out a flat, tablet-like device from the front pocket of their overalls. Without the use of even a single screw, it’s automatically affixed itself into the metal plating and flashes online after only a few seconds.

Keeping their voice barely above a whisper as to not alert the other, they spoke a simple command.

“Computer! Set and lock course for the Space Kingdom, please.”

After a few seconds of soft whirring, it beeped in response, and Cosmo swiftly re-emerges from behind Olimar’s spaceship.

“—We should be ready to go! Now, how about that test run?”

It didn’t take a rocket scientist, or even a normal scientist, to tell that Olimar was beyond shocked at how quickly Cosmo had finished with his installments onto the S.S. Dolphin. He was personally ready and fully accepting of the wait he was surely going to have to face, but seeing the rabbit walk from out behind the ship in two shakes of a leg, the spaceman was stunned.

“W-Well! I suppose you did say it was only going to take mere moments to set up... I...I’m sorry I doubted you! And yes, I think we should have that test run right about now. You might not be able to tell, but I’m rather excited to see just what phenomenal changes you could’ve made in such short time!”

Walking back to the ship’s front, a singular vanilla panel flipped open, making a circular light shining the colors of the rainbow shoot from the ship, covering Olimar in the spotlight. “Just stand here and wait to be sucked inside. It’s much more simple than the light show may put on.” He added on, giving one last smile before his entire body was pulled into the ship. Inside, he waited for Cosmo to follow. He wasn’t the most passionate about allowing the shady rabbit onto his ship, but seeing how quick an adjustment Cosmo had made, curiosity started to bite at him, wildly wondering just what he could have done.
