I stalked a grasshopper because I was curious about its life, and I found (this is really cool) that grasshoppers like to walk in little circles before they start to chirr, just like cats do to make themselves comfortable on a lap. I wanted to write a post to let people know about this and was about to take a pic of the grasshopper, but it was perched on a boring blade of grass. I shooed it away and it jumped onto a different blade of grass. Then a fern. Slight improvement. I bothered it again and it picked another fucking blade of grass. Thousands of flowers in this pasture my friend, would it kill you to pick one for the aesthetic?

Scene cut to a full 20mn later (time flies when you’re harassing a grasshopper), the bitter, exhausted insect finally picked a flower, but (on purpose) a half-wilted, funeral-purple one, just hideous. I mercilessly sent it packing and it made a huge exasperated jump like holy shit I’m a grasshopper, let me hop on grass. But it landed on an acceptable daisy! And Pandolf chose this moment to barrel past me towards the llamas. The grasshopper was having a terrible day, it got evicted from every plant it tried to sing on then had to hop for its life when a dog completely obliterated its daisy like a freight train ramming into a fruit cart. I finally gave up and took a picture of it on a blade of grass, to which it was now clinging with five of its arms while angrily shaking its little fist in my direction.
