Yeah but Jason stayed dead for almost two decades (1988-2005). Sure super hero comic book characters die all the time but they don’t stay dead. Especially for as long as Jason. Jason haunted the narrative. It can be argued that Jason still haunts the narrative despite being alive and showing up. His death fundamentally changed the story and character motivations. His death also shaped him as Red Hood. As much as Batman was born in that alley Jason was born from that explosion.
