I know the perfect endearment for you two: husband :3c
One day, maybe. Not yet. We've spoken about it but not yet. We're both new to the whole long term relationship bit so we want to get used to that first.

Question: what nicknames do you call your boyfriends/girlfriends/partners? I tend to call Sherlock ‘love’ and he makes the word John sound like a term of endearment. But I called him ‘sweetheart’ today and we both decided it wasn’t right for us, but couldn’t place why. Why is there a line you can cross with pet names?
I propose an experiment. Why don’t we call each other a different term of endearment each day for the coming week and record why we do or do not like them. We can collect our evidence at the end of the week and see if we can understand why some work better than others.
Only you could make something this simple into an experiment. I love you.
What about bumblebee? Cinnamon roll? Sweetpea? Honeybee?
It's a hard no on all of them except bumblebee, which is very sweet. Sherlock pretended to hate it because it’s so precious but he’s still blushing.

I’ve been so busy back working at the surgery I’ve not had time to post. Sherlock hates it, of course, but problem is we lead a pretty expensive life (Sherlock loves going on dates to the ballet and tickets don’t come cheap!) so we need a bit of disposable income.
I’d say the normalcy is welcome but really, I miss Sherlock so much while I’m there I’m not sure it’s worth it. Maybe we should take on more big cases that’ll pay more.
I miss you as well, John. It is so boring here without you! I used to do this before I met you. I used to spend days on my own, without a need for any form of interaction. I didn’t need it and now I can’t bear it to spend even one afternoon without you close to me. What have you done to me, John Watson?
Quit the surgery. Come home. Let’s take on more cases and stay together.
I'm on my way back from work now, love. Let's talk about it when I get in. Sure you won't get sick of me?

You are a cheating bastard, Sherlock Holmes!
Unbelievable. Absolutely un-bloody-believable. He claims not to want to play and then cheats his way to winning. If I didn’t love you so much I’d hate you right now!
I can’t believe you thought you could distract me from this injustice by kissing me. I’m not that easily persuaded, darling.

Don’t tell Sherlock, but I’ve invited Greg, Mike and Molly around for a games night tonight.
You did what?!
Oh, come on, Sherlock, it’ll be fun!
You and I have very different perspectives on what fun is. And who is Greg, anyway?
Thanks, mate. Love you too.
Ignore him, I've bought some lagers and some of that scotch we tried in the pub last week. Anyone want food?

We realised the other day that it was a bit of an anniversary of sorts (not since we go together officially but the first time we, you know...) so we thought we’d celebrate by going back to where it all began, really.
On the first night with Sherlock, when we went to Angelo’s, I sort of embarrassed myself by being a little too open with my intentions - I was already head over heels and inadvertently came on to him.
He wasn’t ready back then and said so, and I thank my lucky stars he did because I think we needed to go through everything - the cabbie, the pool, Irene Adler - to know that it could only ever be the two of us.
So we went back to Angelo’s tonight and celebrated us. Always us.
I hope you all enjoyed a little look into our date, we had such a lovely day and Sherlock's not complained about his cigarettes since we got home. We're going to Angelo's tomorrow too, I think I'll ask him to put a candle on the table this time.
We walked over to Hyde Park where Sherlock met (and fell completely in love with) this puppy - took me 10 minutes to pull him away! I love seeing him as open and excitable as he is around dogs. I don’t know why people don’t understand that he’s got so much love to give, you’ve just got to be interesting to him. I still can’t quite believe that I’m interesting enough to keep around.
Just get him a bloody dog, John. He’s been after one for months and we’d be happy to dog sit if you’re out on cases, my daughters love puppies.
Don’t ruin the surprise, Mike!
I knew there was a reason you had been searching for Irish setters!
Stop looking at my computer without asking me! How did you even guess the password?

We also popped in to Irene Adler’s house - she’s been reunited with her fiancée Kate after the business in Karachi and I thought it was only right we take over an engagement gift after she was the one that forced Sherlock and I to finally get together. They’re doing well; she’s not planning on causing any more drama than necessary from now on, though. I hope.

A lot of you have been asking for more photos of Sherlock. Like I’ve said before, he doesn’t really like photos of himself online because he wants to remain as faceless as possible for his work (we’re still making up for the damage the Irene Adler case cost his anonymity), but he doesn’t mind me sharing photos like these. So I thought I’d show you a few snaps from our date yesterday.
