July 29, 2024: Finally, a day at home spent with the family. The first picture is of the sanded deck. We are in the middle of refinishing the deck, and the weather just hasn’t been cooperating for staining/sealing it. Not cheap, but being a responsible homeowner involves spending money like this, not even on upgrades but just to maintain the status quo. Later, I showed the Mercedes to this late middle age gay couple and they loved it. I think they’ll buy it, and while I’m sad to see it go with this impending move, Mom and I need to downsize/simply/cut costs where we can.
