I just can’t get over that his name is Grace.

“Grace” as in mercy, “Grace” as in receiving kindness or a blessing that one did not earn. “Grace” as in bestowing love

Grace as he buries the other two astronauts while giving them beautiful eulogies, burying them with tenderness and dignity with their loved ones while he doesn’t even remember himself but tries to remember them and promises that he won’t forget-

Grace giving them their last rites and Grace showing them compassion and mourning for them because no one else can. Grace even in death and I just can’t—

Sophia also does this little move in the Last Goodbye Job, I think it’s the first time she touches Eliot’s heart in the original series. And it’s when she’s entrusting him with her heart too.

I do adore their relationship because while Eliot is Nate’s attack dog, (someone who he can trust to get the job done no matter what, even to a cost to himself), Eliot is Sophie’s second. They constantly check on each other, they trust each other. She knows he’ll always protect the team, even against Nate, will always watch over Parker and Hardison, even she’s under Eliot’s protection. She’s trusting Eliot with Parker and Hardison because her heart’s always been taken care of under Eliot’s watch.

She’s just acknowledging how much Eliot really wears his heart on his sleeve and how much he loves his people. It’s a touchstone movement for them. I love it a lot.
