I go by Pine over here, I'm black, 18+, and I use It/It's pronouns :3 I'm also an Omega with a cinnamon apple oatmeal scent. Hypothetically
I love drawing and I love writing stories, but I'm kind of a novice at the latter. We'll see if any of them come to fruition here...
- About my blog -
This sideblog is dedicated to all my omegaverse related thoughts, opinions, interactions, etc. I plan to keep this blog generally sfw, but I'll still reblog and post hc's about anatomy and sex in omegaverse— I just plan to keep this blog generally free of explicit content, smut, and kink within the sphere. I have nothing against that omegaverse content btw (VERY much the opposite). It just won't be here! This also means I won't be responding to interactions of that nature here either.
My asks and submissions are staying open for the foreseeable future and I'd LOVE to hear any thoughts or answer any questions relating to the omegaverse so I can give my two cents on them! Don't be shy 🤲🏾

Omegaverse where some cultures consider not wearing scent blockers in the daily life rude (like more individualistic societies) and others where it's totally acceptable to not wear them and they are even hard to come by.
I'm taking antidepressants right now and when I'm not doing something I just feel numb and stare off into space. I feel like that weirdness would be kind of like an omega/alpha going on or coming off blockers since it messes up their hormones.
Yes!! I like this idea, ur so smart nonnyyyy >0<
I like to think that suppressants just...skip over the heat/rut, the hormones that trigger it are never produced. So missing a heat or rut can feel extremely disorienting or cause mood swings while your instincts try to adjust.
And for individuals on suppressants for a long time, they can feel the numbness/apathy associated with certain meds because, well, heats/ruts are important for emotional regulation.
Thats why many alphas and omegas in the military opt to medically change to betas. There's still a significant adjustment period while instincts are sorted out and social expectations change, but it's far easier to handle in the long run and makes more efficient operatives.
Okay so I was scrolling on TikTok and you know the whole Kay Thompson cheating on Megan the stallion thing but I saw Megan wearing grillz, and I’m white so you can tell me if this is like the wrong thought process here,
but it hit me that in the misceverse Grillz are probably an amazing to prevent claiming bites and/or to emphasize the canines (which I think personally is a beauty standard in the community.) like imagine an alpha wearing these almost to show off their teeth. Wouldn’t that be so cool?! almost like a status symbol!!
Any Black person/Grillz wearer feel free to hop in the discussion because I neeeeedddd to know what ya’ll think especially since I don’t see much talk on this sort of thing!! Misceverse fashion/beauty is sooo under talked about and I feel like it needs more rep!!
Don't wear grillz but I AM black and I'm SO glad someone else has thought of this I proposed this idea to the void YEARS ago and I still think it could be applied in cool ways!!
I could definitely see alphas wearing it as a status symbol, particularly ones that emphasize the canines. I think In a world where teeth and so much more. Uh. Prevalent. In society. What with the claiming bites and all. They could be more commonly used this way and less generally stigmatized like they are now. Still very much popularized and revolutionized by black Americans tho. But even beyond America imagine what other cool teeth ornamentation would flourish worldwide... Posibilities
Maybe they're primarily used by alphas, but more alternative omegas began wearing them in defiance of stereotypes. I think an omega wearing grillz like that would be especially impactful as it highlights their teeth meant for claiming in a society where omegas claiming their partners is stigmatized, alphas being positioned as the ones who claim their omega partners in every sense. Also emphasizing danger and power, which society looks down on in omegas. Yes I think about this a lot
Bc most of the time omega, beta, alpha all have different types of teeth - or at least different types of canines. So how do teeth work ? Does presentation/puberty/whatever you want to call it entail losing 2-4 teeth ? Do kids straight up not have canines until their adults ?
I think one of the foolproof ways in omegaverse to figure out what your pups are gonna present as would be teeth, right ? Unless they have 3-4 different sets of teeth in their gums till presentation, but only one grows in. What happens to the rest of the teeth then ?
a while ago I read an omegaverse fic where part of the premise was that the guy had like, abnormally long and intense heats, which as you can imagine was used for horny reasons. but it was a fairly grounded omegaverse setting as far as it goes, and I could not stop thinking "he has pornworld endometriosis and needs to see an ΩBGYN"
I need an omegaverse fic where it’s just the emergency room doctors from like the Pitt or House working with characters from other shows who have medical complications from A/B/O dynamics. The sex is almost completely irrelevant. The real fascination comes from the doctors and nurses who shut down abusive relationships stemming from A/B/O and solve the medical problems that arise as a result of omegaverse.
Imagine difficult Omega pregnancies, omegdometriosis, abusive alphas, controlling parents, omegas that are kept from taking heat control medicine, etc. all solved by a few devoted health professionals.
Thinking about a recessive alpha who is self conscious over his designation and mildly sweet scent and his alpha best friend who doesn’t ridicule his ways, but embraces them.
Alpha best friend who seeks his recessive alpha friend because they are the only one to soothe their outbursts, their pain, their feelings - they find comfort in a strong yet calm presence, more than any omega and their scent. They’ve been friends for a long time, and balance one another.
Recessive alpha and his alpha best friend being teased at the university because of their closeness and preference for one another over anyone else. At first they think the others are just being silly.
Alphas don’t love other alphas, right?
But one day, a pretty omega asks the best friend out in front of the recessive alpha, and he feels dread pool at his stomach. But he is surprised when his friend doesn’t even bat an eye at the omega before gently turning them down. The alpha is relieved on the inside, and almost as if sensing his distress his best friend presses their shoulders together as they walk away, a protective spike in his scent.
The recessive alpha asks his friend, “Why did you turn them down? They were beautiful, smart, everything you deserve in a mate.” His best friend looks a little lost before wrapping an arm around the others shoulder with a chuckle before saying matter of factly, “A mate? I don’t really want one. I have you, don’t I?”
The recessive alpha cannot stop the tinge of redness on his cheeks, his eyes wide as he looks his friend in the face, who looks completely undeterred by the weight of his words. He simply nods, his voice rough. “Y-Yeah, you have me.”
And soon, more ways than they had ever tested out.
Weird traditionalist things in the omegaverse*。.°𑁍
"high class" omegas only being allowed to have pure white nests, specifically during heats or after presentation
Debutante style courting
A movement by conservatives/traditionalists to ban self care/birth control products like suppressants, blockers, inducers, ect
Referring to people as [title, last name], like Alpha Reiner or Beta Rose.
Only making friends with people who have the same secondary gender, or same primary AND secondary gender
Calling an unmated person "uncollared", "stray", or "unknotted". Stray being the most gender neutral term of the bunch, uncollared being beta/omega-centric, and unknotted being almost exclusively omega focused
Gender assigned colors (ex. Boy = blue, girl = pink). Omega being related to yellow, betas being blue, and alphas being red
Incorporating this headcanon to say that the color of the celebration will not be chosen by the person presenting, like it would in a modern household, but based on gender.
This style of party could also double as a private debutante type ball for the wealthy
Pack expectations being very rigid and inflexible.
Betas who aren't allowed to make pack decisions, omegas only allowed to make decisions concerning pups or housework, alphas who take on the brunt of financial support, alphas getting final say in all decision making, betas handling all interpersonal relationships within the pack, omegas being expected to constantly be pregnant or nursing
Clothing styles being very rigid as well. Bright colors and soft fabrics for omegas, neutrals and ambiguous silhouettes for betas, alphas in intense or dark colors with a domineering style.
I had other stuff but I didn't right it down so I forgot ┐(´ー`)┌ feel free to add your own
Discourse in the omegaverse is probably so annoying. Omegas being like "I wish we had better representation for what an omega is, were more than just heats/sex and puppymills"
Then a beta responds "at least you get representation 🙄🙄"
Which prompts an alpha to respond with some bullshit like "maybe you guys would have more representation if you were as high value as an alpha"
This doesn't even get into more indepth stuff like;
Black omegas being seen as lesser omegas compared to white ones
Light skinned Asian omegas being seen as cuter or more breedable/fertile than other omegas
Fights about what is the "correct" way to den or nest, especially across the diaspora
Betas not getting included in literally anything
Betas being teased for indulging in traditionally alphan or omegan activities or traits
Black alphas being seen as naturally more aggressive
Scents specific or common to a race/ethnicity/nationality being seen as weird, dirty, undesirable, ect
Male omegas being called "unnatural"
Male omegas being commodified, the same way you'd procure a show dog or an expensive piece of furniture
Female omegas being told they're more dull or boring compared to male omegas
Betas being called "scentless" and other synonymous terms
Betas being excluded from discussions because they're "just betas" and it's "not their job" to make big decisions
Female alphas being told they're not real alphas
I could go on, honestly. You could write a 20pg dissertation on this and still not scratch the surface on most discordant topics.
A glaring question that came to me after reading all this was how do the power structures of the primary and secondary genders overlap? I feel like it's a very important question to answer to figure out other aspects of society, but I hadn't really considered it in detail before now (even tho I know it's not a new question)
We live in a predominantly patriarchal society, and omegaverse is typically—what, an... alpharchal society? Protoarchal society? Idk. A structure where alphas are at the top of power, omegas are at the bottom, and betas are in between somewhere
Thinking of historical patriarchy specifically in America, it's honestly too rigid to cleanly fit a whole new gender system into it. Men are the dominant providers while women are the submisive caretakers. If alphas and omegas mirror these roles while also existing alongside male and female existence, what's the societal expectation for alpha females and omega males? What are their specific expectations? Their place in the social system?
Would alpha females play an almost identical role to alpha males? How do alpha males perceive them: as equals, rivals, or something else? I'd guess rivals, because they're both wired to find the same type of mates: omegas (speaking generally ofc, not accounting for those with same secondary gender attraction who are still marginalized).
Maybe it's the typical and socially expected outcome for alpha males to be with omega females, alpha females to be with omega males, and beta males to be with beta females so every commonly recognized gender demographic has a specific expectation in the system. Then again, most omegaverse stories use systems where same primary gender attraction is way more tolerated than same secondary gender attraction—like two boys can fall in love and start a family and that's perfectly acceptable as long as one is an alpha and one is an omega—so I'm not too sure on that... Would secondary gender discrimination be more punishing than primary gender discrimination?
Idk. I'm truly very sleepy right now it's been a long day but even so this is something that's been gnawing at my brain for months now. I'd love to hear other ideas if other people have already thought about all this on a clearer head
Thinking it over especially the place of female alphas and male omegas it depends heavily on WHICH cultural patriarchal system you're looking at. For a western one let's use American patriarchal structure (M = Male F = Female just for the sake of strict societal roles): MA > MB > FB > FA > FO > MO
Now you'd think that by virtue of being an Alpha would place female alphas right behind male ones but I don't think so. America (and a good chunk of western Europe) would place more emphasis on primary gender identity followed secondary as in most stories you dont present till adolescents. And because outward image is paramount a female alpha would not fit into the role of an obedient subordinate and thus they are ranked lower than female betas and technically have lesser "worth" than female omegas, yet they would still have their own specific niche.
Aaaah this is an interesting way to think about it! Also the fact that primary genders are figured out before secondary genders being considered makes sense, hadn't thought about that
I do wonder what the specificities of alpha female (and omega male) roles would be tho. Would they play similar roles to male alphas just with a lower rank in the hierarchy?

ok probably one the things that bugs me when it comes to omegaverse is the beta’s lack of scent and their inability to smell other people’s scent. I get that it’s meant to be as a way to make them “the outliers” between alphas and omega with the lack of a/o characteristics.
But even with the extended generally accepted worldbuilding? It doesn’t make any sense, and I mean it in a plot hole kind of way.
It’s generally established that pups have a milky scent, meaning that pups, regardless of what they’ll eventually present as, have to have the scent glands to secrete that scent in the first place. And it’s once they present (whether it’s alpha or omega), it develops into its own individual scent.
With this in mind, how the hell am I supposed to believe that betas simply won’t have any when they present? What do you mean one of the systems for identification will just cease to exist for them?
Does that mean that betas’ scent glands stop functioning the moment they present? Won’t parents be worried sick the moment they realize they can’t smell their child anymore?
Pups can smell their parents’ scents, wouldn’t that also make the newly-presented betas won’t feel the comfort and safety of being surrendered by their parents’ scents ever again? It’d be like losing one of your senses (It basically is).
Or would it be that betas never had scent glands in the first place? Would parents immediately sense something’s wrong with their child when they’re born because they can’t smell that milky scent on them? Would the doctors simply tell them “guess they’re a beta then” and move on like it’s nothing? How hard will it be to raise a child with you being unable to smell them and them being unable to smell you? It’d be like having to communicate through a language they’ll never be able to learn nor understand.
It also just doesn’t make any sense because no one has ever bothered to explain *why* betas can’t smell others, is their olfactory system just nonexistent or have their noses just devolved into being incapable of sensing others? Betas can smell bad breath, sweat, food, perfume, trash, etc. but you mean to tell me that somehow they can’t pick up how another person smells like?
Yeah i think that's dumb and boring and gay and absolutely refuse to incorperate it into my verse 🤷🏾♀️ my betas have weaker personal scents and stronger senses for thr scents of others. Be free‼️
Parents in the omegaverse getting emotional because their pups don't smell like milk anymore. Parents hoarding their pups old clothes and blankets to keep their milky smell in for as long as possible. Baby blankets and nest materials that stay stored in air tight boxes or displays so the scent never fades.
And I've been thinking about this for a while bc I've been seeing an influx of "nobody knows how a female alpha works" posts on my other socials, but I have a lot of thoughts on female alphas and reproduction in omegaverse in general. Bc wdym you don't know how female alphas work ? You can imagine boypussy but not girldick ??? Expand your mind.
And like. Even then. You don't really need either of those to do omegaverse if you just get silly with it. Which nobody is doing enough. It's fiction. Your female alpha can make sperm no dick involved if you just will it so. Your male omega can intake the sperm no p in v or p in a involved ! If you just do it !
You can put any sort of contraption you want on that thang if you just,,, try
