Before I finally get to drawing, I was super curious about today's ep of TSAMS and I just. I'm sorry, I appreciate Carme's concern for Sun's feelings, at least someone finally cares, but I am just exasperated to the highest heavens with Moon.
Because he, at his grown age, not only needed to have it pointed out to him that the name calling and anger over a card game was over the line, but he also didn't actually acknowledge Carmine's point or meaningfully promise to modify his behavior- not that I would have trusted it if he had, Moon's promises are worth less than dirty by now. But just. He didn't even care about what Carmine was saying. He acts like because he's invited to a game he has to play and because he dislikes it, that justifies cursing and behaving like a toddler having a tantrum when he gets mad.
It's even more frustrating to know that he only sorta listened as much as he did because it was Carme. But if Sun had tried to talk to Moon about dialing it back he would have got the "oh you're too sensitive, I'm just not as emotional as you, it's just the SiBLiNg DyNaMiC." Which has just become shorthand for "this is my excuse to defend treating Sun like shit."
God, I wish someone would just throw this version of Moon into space at this point. He’s so insufferable…
Me launching Moon into space, never to be seen again:
I’d would then turn to the Celestial Family and say “Alright everyone, I need to make some changes around here.”
Make sure to get them in line and certain characters get lectured!
“Sun, you get actual relevance again.” “Solar, you go back to acting like you did before you died.” “Terra, you also go back to your old self, and get a damn license to be a therapist.” “Cosmos, come back and everyone treats you with basic respect and kindness.” “Jack, you stay the same, you’re perfectly fine.” “Dazzle, I’ll find a way to make you relevant again.” *Looks at Overseer’s kid* “You should’ve never existed, time to delete!” *Overseer’s kid is Thanos-snapped out of existence*
“Carmine, Dahlia, please stick to the personalities fans gave you.”
“And everyone move back to the original dimension and your second house. We’re starting over. I’ll make you an actually nice Moon and he will remain nice.”
That’s all I can think of now.

And the show is STILL trying to convince us that Moon is better!!! JFC, Moon sounds like he was behaving worse than a bratty toddler who hasn’t been told no before. AND HE’S SUPPOSED TO BE A FUCKING PARENT!!! Please excuse while I go scream from the rooftops…again.
He honestly was behaving like a toddler. Just cursing and insulting Sun for holding onto a card in a simple game, which he outright admitted they weren't betting money on or anything that could even remotely possibly make him being so pissy somewhat reasonable. Like, I'm competitive, I get being mad when you lose, but I don't curse at my sisters and I sure as hell don't scream at them.
The show keeps amazing me on how much worse they keep making the core relationship of the show. Maybe it’s got something to do with me always having gotten along with my own brother, and how he’s become quite protective of me in recent years (despite the fact that I’m the older one), but I keep looking at Sun and Moon and their relationship and still left wondering what the hell is going on with them. Is this supposed to be some kind of model on how NOT to have a sibling relationship and the show just refuses to admit it to their audience?
I’m just so glad that I can just make my own versions of Sun and Moon who do get along as great as a pair of twins can, and are each other’s best friend. I don’t know what I’d do if I couldn’t do that.
As someone who has and loves all my siblings, yeah there can be a healthy amount of “teasing”

Even when it goes too far, someone will speak up and the offender has to learn to be more considerate about the topic, even if they don’t agree or see eye to eye with the other
It’s not that hard Moon really
and sadly only ones who would have stood up to Moon (Terra and Cosmos) are no longer relevant enough to say anything
Solar is dealing with too much to consider how Sun feels, which isn’t right but understandable
The fact that Carmine is the one to say something, having only been around the family for like what 4 months?
Im not happy with Moon, and I probably never will be
Please for the love of God, if Jesus Christ of Nazareth wins I will be so happy

My impulses lead me to another shipping one-shot, this time for Solar x Sun, and goodness, am I so happy I ran with the idea! I truly HATE making spaghetti because it always overwhelms me so I decided to project that onto Sun :D And yee, this is the fic I needed a solidified Dazzle design for.

The most interesting question you can ask about any character is not what do they want. it's what do they believe they deserve. because those two things are almost never the same and the gap between them is where your entire story lives. a person can want love completely and believe they don't deserve it and that belief will destroy every good thing that comes toward them in ways they won't even notice they're doing. write the gap. the gap is the character.

Probs one of the most random things I’ve decided to animate, but it seemed like fun animation practice* and I LOVE Pinkpanthress’ new music video. I've been waiting for this song to get popular since it came out last year, probs my second fav in her whole discography, but like yeah very fire very peak please watch it if you haven’t it’ll change your life (/silly)
