Maybe Frenchy sort of reminded Jo of their own siblings… Though it wasn’t as if any of them had ever listened to their advice on dating, probably for good reason. Jo had never dated around, nor would they ever start unless something disastrous happened. Especially not after seeing all their friend’s dating mishaps. “Let’s go… volunteer at a food kitchen!” The suggested, thinking of the least romantic activity they could think of after a failed date, “We’ll be helping out tons of people, and you won’t even be able to think about some dumb date! Now that’s a million dollar idea, eh?”
"HEY, I mean... that's not a bad idea." frenchy said, shrugging with a small (and weak) smile. it definitely wasn't going out for a drink, or partying... but why not? it would definitely distract her! and, in the process, she would make someone's day. which, inevitably, would light up her own. "plus, it's a good reminder that there's worse things out there than boy troubles." ... that's true, but it doesn't make it hurt any less. ugh. she leaned to the side until her head was on her friend's shoulder, pouting a bit. "but... can we do it tomorrow? i kinda just wanna cry right now, and i don't wanna scare anyone with my running eyeliner."
