That made him laugh. "To be honest, even before we were dating, the video store is probably one of the first places they'd look for you. You'd probably be fine." Not that he really liked the thought of the others showing up in the middle of something like earlier.

"Probably. Sometimes they don't always think straight in situations. That's what I'm always for." She grinned, walking over to grab her phone. "Poor Anby and Nekomata are gonna be grumpy at me. They're always fighting over who gets to sleep next to me. The kids have to learn to be on their own eventually." Nicole sighed dramatically.

Belle popped back up to the top of the stairs. "Okay love birds, I'm gonna start making my way to pick up the food. I'll be sure to make lots of obvious noise to let you know when I'm back."

He could hear Belle's voice as she considered what toppings to get, so she hadn't gone far to do the order. Still, once Nicole had picked up their clothes, Wise pulled her close and gave her a soft kiss.

"I'll take any heat from Belle if she gets mad," he said quietly.

“Ohhh, so brave and bold of you~” Scrunching her nose, she nuzzled up to him. Still so giddy from the high of finally getting what she wanted. Now she was going to get to spend time with him even more in the future. “I should probably let the hares know I won’t be going home tonight. Don’t want them searching the town freaking out.”

That brought a blush to his cheeks again, and he held a hand up. "On my honor, you won't hear a peep." A pause, and then, "...you know you don't need a 'pass,' as long as I know he's staying over."

A sigh left his lips as Belle disappeared to make the call. He glanced to Nicole. "Guess we're having a sleepover."

"Honestly best case scenario." She smirked, standing on tip toe to give his face a few little kisses now that eyes were off of them. "I'll have to try extra hard not to make a peep. I don't want to face any wrath." Walking over to his room, she at least picked up her things from the floor. Grabbing his as well just to help out.

A long pause.

And then, "...I really can't say I'm surprised." He glanced to Nicole. "Um, why don't we continue this discussion somewhere else?" Because it was getting a little awkward just standing out there in the hall. "Did you want to stay over, Nicole?" Now that they didn't have to sneak around.

“It’s not surprising? Not even like… a little?” Belle hadn’t realized how obvious she had been in her pining apparently. “Guess I’ll order some extra pizza, annnd the cheezy bread.”

“Ohhh, so you’re cool if I stay? Of course I wanna~” Nicole clapped her hands together. “Always down for a pizza party.” And free food.

“Yeah, because if you can stay over then I can have a free pass for Lighter.” Belle pointed a finger. “But if I have to hear anything I’m gonna send all the Bangboo in there to yell at you two.”

He swallowed and then cleared his throat. “Something like that, yeah,” he said. He finally looked to his sister, really taking in the shock, as well as the guilt on the edges.

“Sorry. I should’ve just told you. But it seemed… weird.” He glanced back at Nicole. “But it’s not like it’s someone you don’t know.” They did tend to make fun of Nicole a bit, but they considered her and the other Cunning Hares friends.

"That's... true." She wasn't sure if it would be weirder or not if it was someone completely new. "But now I can't do my sisterly duty of interrogating your girlfriend." Belle crossed her arms.

"If it would make you feel better, you still could. I bet I can ace all the questions~" She leaned forward and smirked a little at Belle. "You can't be too upset at him hiding it though. You probably understand that reasoning pretty well~"

Now it was Belle's turn to look a little embarrassed. Did she know? Rubbing at her arm as she made a groan. "Riiiiggghhtt. Um... I guess I didn't figure it out sooner because I've also... kinda been distracted." Teetering on her feet. "Soooooo, haaaah guess we are more alike after all. I've also been secretly dating Lighter for like months."

Yeah, that was about what he expected in the couple minutes it took them to make themselves look halfway presentable. Or at least less like they’d just had sex.

“We’ve been dating for a couple months now,” he said, still not looking her in the eye. “…to be fair, this wasn’t how I planned on telling you.”

"Dating? Months?" How did she not notice? Felt like a failure of a sister to not be able to figure it out, but he was so good at hiding his emotions. Well... except for right now. She had never witnessed him looking so embarrassed. Which it was only just clicking, seeing both of their hair was wet. Oh. O h. "I just, I mean, you two. So unexpected. I can't believe you hid it for so-" She stopped herself, feeling a little twinge of guilt.

"I guess he wanted to get a good solid few months in to make sure I wasn't just trying to trick him." Nicole laughed, reaching up to ruffle his hair. "Promise it wasn't one of my plans, well it might have been a super early plan years back when we first met. Did not work obviously."

He had, at least, grabbed towels and his own change of clothes, so he and Nicole were able to dry off and get dressed without the walk of shame back to his room.

His eyes wouldn’t meet Belle’s as they left the bathroom, Nicole behind him. “Hey, Belle. Nicole’s still here.”

Standing there wide eyed, mouth hung open. Belle nearly dropped her phone and had to fumble to grab it before it hit the floor.

Nicole had nabbed one of Wise's big shirts, still rubbing at her dripping hair with the towel. "Heyyyy Proxy~" She looked to Wise, wanting to see how he was going to try and play this out. Kinda hard to really spin this into something else, so surely it was time to come clean.

"W-wha... huh?" Her hand just gestured back and forth between them. Poor Belle was trying really hard to process what she was seeing. Rubbing at her eyes like that would change something. Was Nicole really that desperate to clear her debt? Her brother was the last person she would expect to fall for any sort of trap like that so now she was confused.

Shit. He’d been so focused on them getting to the bathroom without being seen he hadn’t thought to close the door.

He glanced over his shoulder at Nicole again.

And a sigh left his lips.

“…guess I’ve got some explaining to do. Just give us a sec.”

"Us?" Belle emphasized, voice going slightly higher than her usual.

This should be interesting. Nicole gave him a pat on the back, pressing a little kiss to his shoulder. Whispering softly. "At least she didn't show up like fifteen minutes ago." His soul probably would have left his body.

Of course the Bangboo would cause a misunderstanding. He loved the little things, but they weren’t always great at communicating.

He glanced to Nicole before saying, “…uh, not Asha, Nicole came over.”

Belle laughed. "Trying to get us to join in a new scheme or weaseling another discount?"

Nicole made a soft scoff, leaning towards him to whisper. "Ruuuuuuuude."

Pausing her pacing, Belle noticed the door to Wise's room was open. He was always keeping that thing shut. Probably to prevent her from ruining his perfect orderly space. Which was why it was odd to see his floor littered with clothes. "You sure you're okay? Either you've been replaced by a clone, sick, or someone ransacked your room and now you're being held hostage."

Wise dragged his hand down his face, glancing in Nicole’s direction as she muffled her laugh. “I’m fine,” he said, because he knew if he claimed to be sick, Belle would fuss over him and he wouldn’t get a moment of peace. “It’s just been a while, we’ve been pretty good about cooking at home, thought you’d like a break.”

"Sweeeet. Then we are having ourselves and pizza party movie night." She started pacing around the hall as she placed the order. "I was a little worried when you weren't answering my texts. Eighteen said you were hanging out with the bunny girl. Too busy gaming with Asha huh?"

Wise cringed in Nicole's direction before poking his head out of the shower. He really thought he'd have a bit more time, but if she was asking about dinner, it must have been later than he thought.

"Uh, no, I haven't," he said. "Maybe order a pizza or noodles or something?" Anything that might get Belle out of the building long enough for Nicole to get out without being seen.

“Really? Usually I’m the one suggesting take out.” She leaned against the door. “What happened to trying to make food at home more, you feeling alright?”

Nicole had to turn around to try and help muffle the giggle slipping. Poor poor Wise.

“Well…” He considered that for a moment. “I always thought you were pretty. Just never thought it mattered when I figured you were just aiming for favors and discounts.” A smile and a shrug before he went back to letting his hands explore her body.

At least until he heard footsteps on the stairs.

Wise heard it before her, so she really hoped the laugh she made hadn't been too loud. Glancing up at him, she hovered her hand over her mouth. "Guess we shoulda seen this coming."

The steps stopped at the top of the stairs. "Yoooo, bro sorry I ended up being out later than expected. Time flies when you're having fun and all that." Belle walked closer to the bathroom door in case he couldn't hear her over the water. "Did you eat dinner yet? Totally forgot it was my turn to set up tonight."

“Huh?” He looked down at himself, managing to tear his attention away from Nicole’s body. “I do all the heavy lifting for both businesses and I walk a lot of places. I wouldn’t exactly call myself ‘ripped’.” Not like he was some huge, muscular guy like some of the Agents they’d worked with.

He leaned back in, kissing her. “What, you suddenly like me more because I have a six pack?”

"It's more like just a bonus feature to look at." She smiled against his lips. "Because I already liked you a lot before the six pack reveal obviously."

She reached up and took out the ribbon ties from her hair. Leaning towards the water and pushing the bangs from her face. "Don't want anything blocking my view of course." With a giggle, she smooshed her breasts up against his skin, sighing happily. "I didn't think you really cared about my looks, I mean I was always trying to show off even before we dated. Now you sure seem to be paying attention~."

Once they had wiped themselves off a bit, Wise led the way to the bathroom. After checking that no Bangboo or customers had gotten lost and come wandering up the stairs, of course.

And as soon as the shower was going, he pulled Nicole in with him, pressing a kiss to her lips. He was feeling a little bolder after their first time, hands moving over her body, just feeling the soft skin and curves.

Felt like going on a little stealth mission sneaking over to the bathroom. Had to cover her mouth to stifle the giggles. This was such a fun new side of Wise. She was happy to keep encouraging it.

In-between kisses, she started eyeing his chest. Finger tracing down to his abs. "Geeze, when did you get so ripped? Was that always hiding under those baggy clothes you wear?"

He didn't even hesitate to agree to that, finally pulling his fingers out of her and lifting them to his lips to lick them.

"Sure," he said. He wasn't even thinking about the movie they'd put on anymore. He probably would look at his TV later and remember. And probably have to make up an excuse to Belle for why he still hadn't watched the movie she'd recommended him. "Come on."

"Heehee yay~" Her grin got even wider, quickly giving him an exaggerated smooch. She did reach over to her bag, grabbing some napkins. Really paid off to always take handfuls of them whenever she ate out.

It wasn't going to be enough to really clean them up, but at least they wouldn't be dripping on the way to the bathroom.
