through song , our protagonist acknowledges that he is a predator among prey & no longer human .

✶ the lyrics hold meaning only to haze and those who are aware of his conflict . to the general public , it's just a concept written for haze's debut with no significant meaning .

seeing double , a set of concept teasers posted on the agency's twitter account during early october . with these images , they confirmed haze's debut & helped fans trend #HAZED .

✶ during the early creative stages of idea , haze showed a desire to participate by asking to attend meetings with creative teams at the agency . concept one was his idea solely .

beautiful silhouette , the music video's main concept styling . haze personally interpreted the styling as a wolf dressed in sheep's clothing ⨾ deadly things are often quite beautiful .

✶ when asked about the look, haze recounts that the art department worked relentlessly on saving the hair jewelry because it kept breaking during the mv shooting . for this reason , he cannot wear it on stage unless there's at least five pins holding it in place - and that just ruins the look .

bottled sorrows lift clumsily to drunken lips , a sharp sting of alcohol invading sensitive tongue . first time haze has let go & allowed such an indulgence since his death ⨾ petrified of making an irreversable mistake & allowing a mixture of stupidity , alcohol , and hunger cloud judgement . but with shelley , he is calm . drinking in the light of the moon & her precious stars , at peace once again . as if the events of august never happened . . . as if he weren't undead . “ i could stay out here forever , ” a simple wish spoken with a soft sigh & undeniable longing for a life more peaceful . “ what about you , shells ? ”

✶ after death , haze found that cinnamon hues became corrupted by a stunning fuchsia bearing resemblance to his mother's beloved roses . he spent days in front of the bathroom mirror , prodding at raw flesh around eyes that no longer felt like his own .

was this body truly his ? or was his reality just hallucinations of a dead man , destined for a seat among humanity's greatest sinners & eternal damnation . . .

✶ as an idol trainee , the colour of haze's eyes are written off as contacts designed to make him stand out among talented peers ♡ though , he does wear brown lenses when in public to keep up with the lie .

designed for the kill , permanent reminders of humanity — or lack thereof ⨾ capable of ripping flesh clean from the bone , an unwilling predator among his prey .

✶ in the months following haze's death , teeth began to wobble and break away from bloodied gums ⨾ in the next few weeks , they'd grown back sharper . it was a steady process involving all thirty - two teeth falling into the bathroom sink or rough hands , throughout the course of a few months .

sharper than knives , slicing into the soft flesh of his tongue if he's not careful . crimson spills over chapped lips & down onto the practice room floor ⨾ for the next week , haze laments the loss of humanity .

✶ they're barely visible . gnawing on chew toys has become a past time for haze in an effort to shave his teeth down , still they're sharp . teeth are only slightly pointed ⨾ enough to notice , but not enough to signal that haze is any different . will be regarded as a unique feature by fans when he debuts.

to hide your true self , masquerade as something you simply are not , conceal your immortal flesh & rotting soul as you would if you were still alive .

✶ stylists are heavy handed on dark shadows to accentuate magenta eyes , as requested by the company . haze has grown to accept the style , enjoying it to some extent ⨾ shapes drawn with careful hands also adorn his features , either on the upper cheek or just under his eyes .
