Post your workout routine pls
i’m simply too busy to go to the gym over and over again like i did before so 10-20 minute at home workouts is ideal for me right now. i always stretch, then warm up with a little walk around the corner or some jumping jacks.
one of each for two days with one rest day in between! 🎀
arms - monday + tuesday
wednesday- rest
core/waist - thursday +friday
saturday - rest
glutes/thighs - sunday + monday
so on and so forth….
My lazy girl workout🦋
I ABSOLUTELY despise gyms and working out, but I love my body and looking what I define as good
I do cardio everyday and all that is, is going to the park and walking my dog once or twice!
Jumping rope for 5-8 minutes a day is an AMAZING form of exercise
I’ve downloaded betterme and do those at home workouts for my targeted areas
The BIGGEST thing with fitness and maintaining/losing weight is your diet! No late night snacking. It’s also okay to eat junk food once in awhile and to not beat yourself up about it!
Lmao speaking of cardio, would you like to drop your workout routine???
Yoga if I don’t do anything else, which gets my core right and keeps it right.
Right now I’m not in the gym on campus because I don’t know about all of that yet lol so at home I do like crunches, leg ups, mountain climbs, high knees, calf raises, bicycle legs, side to side squat, cross lunges, etc. This is mostly because I am petite (5’3) and have a small waist already. I’m pretty slim thick so I dont do more than this. When I go back to the gym tho I’ll update this lol
I don’t know if this is something you’ll be able to help with but if you or the community could help me with exercise tips? I’ve been working out since January and whilst my upper body is getting into shape - my legs, thighs and bum aren’t 🥴 I’d really like to lose weight on my lower body so if you or anyone could recommend some exercises that’d be really appreciated. At the moment I walk for around 2 hours and sometimes do Heather Robertson’s workouts 💕
Walking is great because it's low impact to lose weight. If you don't want to walk all of the time, you can do the elliptical at the gym as well.
The problem is you need to lose weight everywhere and not just focus on one area all of the time, so work hard!
Cardio is key for weight loss. If you go to a gym up your calorie intake.
I'd say HIIT videos are extremely useful in general!
Also don't overwork your body. Incorporate yoga stretches on cool down. Also look at your diet...thats majority of it! Have you thought about cutting out sugars and dairy at least?
You sound motivated so far, so keep it up, I believe in you!!!
How to Start Working Out (Even If You’ve Never Trained Before)
Starting your fitness journey can feel overwhelming—especially if you’re not sure what to do, where to go, or even what to wear. I know that feeling so well because I’ve been there too. Whether you’re planning to hit the gym or work out at home, I’ve created this simple, beginner-friendly guide to help you get started the right way, without stress and without pressure.
Why You Don’t Need to Be “Fit” to Start
Let me remind you: you don’t need to be fit to start—starting is what makes you fit. What matters most is consistency, not perfection. Whether you want to build strength, feel more energized, or simply take care of yourself, working out is one of the best gifts you can give to your body and mind.
Gym vs. Home Workouts – Which One Is Better?
The answer is: the one you’ll stick to.
• The gym can give you access to more equipment and a motivating environment.
• At home, you save time, feel more comfortable, and need minimal space or tools.
Both are valid, and you can switch between them depending on your mood, schedule, or goals.
Beginner Full-Body Workout (No Equipment Needed)
Here’s a simple full-body workout you can do at home or at the gym. You can repeat this 3 times a week to start building strength and stamina:
Warm-Up (5 minutes):
• Arm circles – 1 min
• Jumping jacks – 1 min
• Bodyweight squats – 1 min
• Hip openers – 1 min
• Neck & shoulder rolls – 1 min
Full Body Routine (Repeat 2–3 rounds):
• 12 squats
• 10 push-ups (knee or full)
• 15 glute bridges
• 12 lunges (each leg)
• 30-second plank
• 15 bird dogs (core + balance)
✨ If you’re in the gym, you can do the same routine but using dumbbells for squats and lunges, and machines if you prefer. Don’t be afraid to ask for help—everyone was a beginner once!
Tips to Stay Consistent
• Don’t wait to feel motivated—create a routine and show up for yourself.
• Wear an outfit that makes you feel confident.
• Follow fitness creators or playlists that inspire you.
• Track your progress (even just writing “I moved today” counts!).
• Celebrate small wins like completing your weekly workouts or feeling more energy.

How do I truly become a pink Pilates princess on a budget?
Pink Pilates Princess 101
✧・゚: *✧・゚:* ✧・゚: *✧・゚:* ✧・゚: *✧・゚:* ✧・゚: *✧・゚:*
When I think of a pink pilates princess, I think of a girly person that romanticized their life in terms of wellness! a lot of people find the phrase annoying but i think it’s fun and cute! Here’s some things you can do to feel more like a pink pilates princess 💞
pic credit: all 3 pics from me posted on my pinterest @ nallyssajones
1. Doing pilates!
There’s mat pilates (only need a mat) and reformer pilates (using a reformer machine). Going to classes multiple times a week can be a tad expensive, so an alternative would be:
A) Signing up for paid subscriptions that have detailed classes for e.g; Alo moves, Pilates anytime, glo etc.
B) Following videos from youtubers that do mat pilates. My fave channels are; Move with Nicole, Sanne Vloet, Dansique fitness (she mostly does hitt pilates videos)
* Yoga is another amazing way to get movement in and feel connected to your body and spirit.
* Go on a hot girl walk! Going on mini walks around your neighborhood or even your house allows you to get some steps in daily.
2. Eating well!
pic credit: my pics posted on my pinterest @nallyssajones
This is different for everyone but here are some ideas that you can add to your diet;
- Drinking green juice
- Try out yogurt bowls! It's my favourite breakfast food because it's easy to make and can be very nutritious depending on what I put into it. I like to add greek yogurt, a nice granola, matcha powder, frozen and fresh berries, pomegranate, ground flax and almonds🫐🍓
- Increasing protein intake. A lot of people have tried to eat 1 g per each lb that they weigh daily and have felt really good. My fellow anemic girlies, please increase your protein intake if you can!
- Taking your vitamins/supplements! get a blood test done to see what you’re deficient in and research supplements that might be helpful for you personally.
3. Finding cute workout+lounge sets
(pic credit: from @ lyssithadoll on ig and twitter)
Working out and going out in cute loungewear and workout sets can make you feel really nice and girly! I like to thrift nice quality brands like lululemon or even purchase specific pieces from depop and poshmark! Amazon is a good place to find sets as well but I would recommend buying high quality secondhand pieces💞 Some good brands to look out for are lululemon, alo yoga, halara and girlfriend collective.
4. Get cute exercise equipment
pic credit: my picture posted on my pinterest and ig @ nallyssajones
Get pink workout equipment if you’d like! Marshalls, dollarama, and amazon sell workout equipment that you can get for $5-$20! I got the pink fila mat in the pic above from marshalls for $19.99:) Here are some equipment ideas:
- yoga mat
- yoga strap
- wrist/ankle weights
- 5 lbs dumbbells
- gym bag
*these things aren’t needed btw! just ideas if you’d like to have more equipment.
5. Practice self care
You can do whatever self care that you'd like but here are some examples that you can incorporate into your life:
- Take a relaxing bath (the book "ritual baths" has amazing bath ideas
- Engage in your favourite hobbies (sports, reading, watching a tv show etc.)
- Spend time with your loved ones
- Take care of your skin and have a routine down. You do not need 15 products but even adding a serum or a spot treatment to your routine can improve your skin!
***************************************************************************************************
I hope that you liked this post! This is all for fun and anyone can be a pink pilates princess 🧚🏾💞
hey i love your blog sm!!! lately i’ve realised that my gym routine is not going well and it’s mainly cuz i can’t motivate myself to continue when things get hard. any tips? how do i switch to discipline over motivation? what shld i tell myself so that i don’t give up?
how to stay disciplined & motivated to workout
thank you <3 i feel like being organized, having a motive, reciting affirmations and romanticizing working out will help you stay motivated and disciplined
keep a workout journal. write down all the benefits it has, all the positive ways it will improve your health and all the ways it will help you in life in general. read them as often as possible. the answers should motivate you each day 💭💭💭
ask yourself why you started to work out in the first place and remind yourself of how proud you will be with the outcome
make a schedule for days to workout each week or however many days you want to. include how long you will work out, meals you want to eat and what type of exercises you want to do, this will keep you on track and organized
romanticize working out — you can romanticize working out so it can be a better experience for you. buy cute workout clothes , pieces that will motivate you to want to workout. buy cute workout necessities .. for example : pink yoga mats , pink water bottle , pink towel , pink dumbbells , pink bag to carry everything and bring your headphones to listen to your favorite music while working out
try different ways to workout. the gym may not be for you. try working out at home, zumba, taking walks, doing pilates etc
recite affirmations daily to keep you motivated
here’s some to get you started
my goals are within reach
i am dedicated to my fitness journey
i am proud of myself for the commitment i’m putting in
i will keep going
i will have my ideal body as long as i stay consistent
i am mindful of what my body needs
working out will help me maintain good health
fitness is a lifestyle
i prioritize my health
i prioritize my well being
i am working out in a healthy way
i am eating properly and i am not skipping meals
even if things get tough i know i can push through and do anything i put my mind to

Fitness Tips for Beginners: Starting to Go to the Gym
I started this year determined to make big changes, in many ways. One of the ways was being more active, committing to some sort of exercise that I could turn into a routine, better yet, a lifestyle.
And so, since January I’ve been experimenting with various gyms and trainers while researching as much as I can about the topic, including nutrition conferences. I thought I’d share my experiences, as well as advice, tips and tricks, and hopefully this will help others as well. With time I will be sharing more articles on this series along with my journey.
I. Before starting, note that…
II. The workout split
III. The routine itself

Fitness Tips for Beginners: Starting to Go to the Gym
Part I. Before starting, note that…
It’s okay to be nervous, intimidated or hesitant at the idea of going to a brand new gym where you’re not familiar with the equipment, the exercises, or delicately put, you don’t know what the heck you’re doing. It’s okay, I’ve been there, in ways still am. But everybody starts somewhere! And the fact that you’ve made this choice already shows that you’re badass and off to a good start. So don’t worry about those details yet, boo. Just take it one step at a time.
You have to take a moment to sit down and decide why you want to do this. Write it down if it helps, because it’s important to remember what is your incentive. This is your motivation, which will give you the push in the first weeks/months, it’s like your mental lift-off, the foundation that you will have to lean on, the reason which you will have to pop on your phone alarm to remind you why you’re doing this. Is it just to get a little more fit? Is it for the big guns or some booty gains? Is it to feel stronger and more confident? Whatever it is, however specific or vague, it’s your reason, and make it matter for you.
Ok, now you know what your goal is, but in order to get there, you need a plan. If you want a trainer + nutritionist + gym subscription, make that plan. If you want to workout on your own, do your meal preps and basically boss it up, make that plan, and make sure you do proper research on it: nutrition, workout plans, workout exercises, etc. (Personally, I tried both routes and found that working alone works best for me.)
Whole series: I. Before starting, note that… II. The workout split III. The routine itself IV. How to start V. Tips & tricks
Fitness Tips for Beginners: Starting to Go to the Gym
II. The workout split (weekly plan):
A workout split/plan is complex, I’ll admit that, but let’s be honest, it’s not rocket science. If you’re a beginner and looking to work solo, it’s totally possible and effective as long as you have a good workout plan.
First of all, remember that this plan needs to fit to your lifestyle, not the other way around. Don’t bend over backwards trying to fit a 5 day routine into your week when you’re just working on so many things and fitness doesn’t need to be #1 priority.
How many days/week do you want to work out, realistically? Consider your lifestyle, goals, schedule and general workload or preferences, and decide based on that. If you’re an artist, then art will be your priority, and 3 days/week can be a good setup. If you’ve always been athletic and looking for a new hobby, then 5-6 days/week might just be perfect for you.
Which day is for what muscle group? Consider your goal(s). Say, if your focus is on your legs (hamstrings, glutes, quads), then have most days dedicated to doing exercises that target those muscle groups; and have the remaining 1-2 days for general full body exercises. Or if your focus is abs + strength, again dedicate most days of your weekly plan for it. If it’s just general fitness, you can follow a standard 3 day plan (Monday lower body, Wednesday upper body, Friday fullbody/mixed), or 5 day split where the muscle groups are divided by preference. You can find so many exercise plans on the internet, on youtube etc, and it’s important to remember there’s no one way to do things when it comes to fitness. In fact there are a hundred ways to do achieve a goal and that’s what’s fun about it.
If you’re having any trouble with the above (as I did, since I hit a bit of a dead end upon realizing how complex workout plans are), you can always use fitness apps on your phone. There are so many available out there, which I know can be confusing, but if you do a quick search/research you’re bound to find the right one for you. (Personally, I’m currently using Tone&Sculpt app and I love how simple it is and perfect for beginners.) Apps are a great way to get the hang of the fitness lifestyle/routine, and 6 months in you’ll be already pretty comfortable with trying new things and know what works for you.

Fitness Tips for Beginners: Starting to Go to the Gym
IV. How to start…
Research your area, neighborhood or city for which gym you like best, depending on your needs. Small and cozy gym, close to your home? Or a big, spacious, fully equipped gym? Something inbetween? No problem. Browse the internet, do a little research, check out their photos and reviews to determine if it’s the right fit.
You can do a couple of test visits (paying only daily entry) to your preferred gyms and do some easy, comfy cardio while you get a feel of the places.
Once you decide and get a monthly subscription (or whatever you prefer), you can start easing into your chosen workout split. Also remember that if it’s too crowded at a given time, just play around with different timeframes to find the best one for you.
That’s it, you’re all set!

V. Tips & tricks
Staying motivated - Feeling meh while your alarm announces it’s time to wake up for the gym? Or you’re just home from work and not really feeling up for exercise? Hit a plateau, or not sure of your direction? Whatever the case, remember that you’re doing this for YOU. It’s to make your mind and body healthier, it has to be enjoyable and exciting for YOU. So if it’s not, switch up your tine, change the details, the exercises, try new exciting stuff, switch the timeframe, get a new bomb outfit, ask a friend to join you, etc. Nobody likes routine for too long, and that’s ok! So just figure out what no longer appeals to you, and change it.
Gym bag essentials - Towel, workout shoes, water, protein shake (optional), rice cake/snack bar (for when you need a quick bite right now), headphones, deodorant, etc.
Trainers, if you use one - It should be 1-on-1; they should be motivating, patient, fill you with enthusiasm, they should carefully explain things, always watch your posture and form and to correct you accordingly, they should elaborately and eagerly answer any questions you might have. If they spend more time on their phone, chatting with others, or hovering around the gym than with you; if they give vague or short answers to questions; if they fall short to the services promised; if they’re not communicative and helpful; if they’re not watching your posture/form and being there for you – then you need to change the trainer or go solo.
Workout splits/plans, and workout exercises - The best way to start for beginners (without trainer) is using fitness aps, it will form a good foundation for basics. Beyond that, there are SO many exercises and workout plans available on IG, YT, etc., all you have to do is just look up what exactly you’re interested in.
Nutrition - Nutrition is super important! Don’t just DIY a diet or plan without doing intensive research first or checking with a specialist. What works for one person may not work for another, every body is different, and so is every mind. Just remember that food is not the enemy, nor is your body - it’s your friend, it’s you, and you have to work with it, not against it. Restriction only works for a while and it is not a long term method. Food is fuel and nourishment, it gives you energy and you should enjoy what you consume, you should make it so it brings you joy to eat the way you do. If the food you eat doesn’t make you feel good, then be patient with your body and treat it kindly with good food.
Outfit - If your outfit is important to you (which is totally cool, you should feel awesome while working on you!), take a look at what is available on the market for gym clothing and see what you’d feel most comfortable and confident in. Whether it’s bright colors, flattering shapes or saucy tops; whether it’s cheap & comfy leggings from the next store, or big brand outfits that look bomb - you do you, boo, and don’t mind anything else.
