“You are the love of my life”
Francis has heard a lot of variations of this phrase.
Some of them were while the person was crying, laughing, even while feeling angry with themselves.
He knows that he has been the light in a lot of people's lives.
Nonetheless, he also knows that there will never be a day where he corresponds to those feelings.
Even if he wanted, even if he felt it.
Because death provides a closure to those feelings. He has seen those people live and die, and with them, their feeling of love for him.
But he wont, he would either live with that feeling, or never have it.
He cant simply “forget” about that person. He remembers every single one of them, their name, their faces, and how he showed them to love.
That's his life; only being to experiment love in memories.
Maybe, it's time to take a break.
To find love in another place.
In someone who has to confront life like he does.
