Spring is here! Get outside and enjoy!
Here's a doll bed that I put together with pieces and parts and painted a mint green inspired by a color often used in 1950s doll furniture. It is super sturdy with smooth edges and low luster seal. Vintage embroidered linens and fabrics were used to make a tufted mattress, pillows, cases, and sheet. An adorable vintage crocheted coverlet with red flowers top it all off. 22" long inside and wider than most AG beds. It will be listed in my etsy shop in May.

A sweet cradle for a smaller doll. 14" long on the inside, it is painted in a vintage coral pink inspired by doll beds I've found from the 1950s. It is lightly distressed along the edges and has floral decals that echo the colors in the quilt. Vintage embroidered linens and fabrics have been used to create a mattress, pillow, sheet and case. A gorgeous little 11"x13" vintage quilt completes the set. Watch for this darling bed in my etsy shop in May.

My favorite upcycling project...doll beds! This wooden bed was found with layers of peeling spray paint but in otherwise great structural condition. I hand sanded it til only a patina of worn flat white paint remained and all the edges were smoothed. Then I used vintage embroidered linens and fabrics to make the mattress, pillow, sheet, and pillowcase. A slightly vintage hand stitched quilt tops it all off! This bed fits the American Girl doll perfectly and is also a good size for the Bitty Baby. The AG doll night gown will also be offered in my etsy shop.

More beach cottage painted decor items for the etsy shop! Sky blue, aquas, mint greens and coral help repurpose and rescue found wood household decor pieces. Many layers of primer, paint, glazes, distressing and sealing will make these super durable as well as eye catching. To be listed in my etsy shop by May.

A doll sized hutch or display case painted, distressed and sealed for a smooth feel. The color is a deep ivory sand with the slightest blush tone. Part of a beach cottage decor group I'm working on for my etsy shop. This will be listed in May. Getting ahead of the Christmas in July promotions!

These are from a batch of upcycled wood things I'm painting for my etsy shop. The bed and chest will be offered separately but aren't they sweet together?

A doll dress I recently made from the memory of my first “dress design” that my mother made as a school dress for me many years ago. I wanted a dress of pillow ticking with red rickrack and pockets all around!
