I'm not saying queerbaiting doesn't exist because it most definitely does. But. Half of the time people "call out" queerbaiting in a movie or a show, it's just two close male friends. That is NOT queerbaiting. So like, in those situations, could we perhaps stop? Is it really so hard to imagine cis men having close non-romantic relationships with other cis men?
