When the rulers suppress dissent, it is the duty of the arts to never surrender. Berthold Brecht & Kurt Weil created the theater of agitation and propaganda [agit-prop] in Weimar Germany. Mack the Knife is from their Threepenny Opera. Singing is by Ute Lemper, whom I consider the greatest interpreter of Brecht/Weil; Lotte Lenya not withstanding.
